Amazing performance... I love wood and steel , my father played horn so I love trumpets, trombones, saxophones, flutes.... :) And of course I love that movie :)

Great tune. The guitar and piano players really have the bluesy elements. Sax was pretty good as well. Was the trumpeter primarily a classical cat? Why is it that jazz has a place in high culture everywhere except America, where it was born?

He isn't playing with a mute. On the Spike Lee version Blanchard played with a mute that's also why its off

Lol was this the warm up act or something? So many people are out of their seats, half the orchestra isn't even there and band members are joining throughout the song. For the Proms you would expect more class, unless it was the warm up act.

Liked the rhythm section and arrangement, but it sounded like they took a classical trumpet player and told him to go play jazz. There’s no feel with him whatsoever and it sounded like he was just reading a chart instead of actually listening.

@@antylemingable7128 Indeed, twisting and bending his notes constantly. Do it once, than it's great. Rythms section is great. Love the bass sound of the electric up-right.
