Yes but it was DL show and everything has to be ran by and go through him. Yes he didn't air it because it was going to make him look bad because even though he wasn't there, it was his show. It wasn't because he wanted to be nice and respected Monique. When Monique reached out to him to talk to him about what was said on his show, he disrespected some more and he dismissed her feelings. @PRTEEGRL, you're so right... take for instance and I always go to this reference because of the talent level. Tamar Braxton is such a talented singer.. honestly of all the sisters I think she has the best vocals okay. Now that being said for me personally I will deal or listen to Toni 💯 times more and if you look at their careers Toni is more known, why because allot of ppl in the industry don't want to work with Tamar, not because she's not gifted or talent buy her attitude isn't something they want to deal with. Now are they wrong? Who are we to judge them for who they want to work with its their businesses and their money.

Yet the real conversation is toxic masculinity. Monique was trying to point this out. Maybe she should get with Dave Chappella and go on tour so she could get some protection and get a comedy special that she deserves to air her grievances. @@tanettacaleb7767 THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. I 100% agree with you. 100% agree. I am pissed about the way she's being treated. She has been wronged so badly, done so dirty, and is being attacked because she's a Black woman. Black women are disrespected terribly with violence, spoken of in degrading terms, literally denied proper services in every area of life in America and around the world, and what is going on with Monique is exactly the same thing. Abusing black women is a vicious trend that's been going on for several years but nobody including Black men are interested in stopping it. Monique is a human being. IMAGINE an entire nation of people mocking you because an entire industry has lied about your character publicly. And, they virtually blackball you. And then when you reach your threshold of patience and pain and speak out, you holler, you are villified more and told you should have been more quiet and well-behaved. And worse yet, they don't focus at all on the injustice done to YOU. Oh my gosh. Most people talking about how Monique should have handled this better could not even for one second deal with what she's dealt with for 13 years without going off. We see it everyday on social media, people going off the rails because someone said one thing that they didn't like. We see it in the news locally and nationally, people resorting to violence because someone offended them. I sincerely pray that God thoroughly and totally vindicates Monique and she gets full justice for all the times she has been wronged.

I have always wanted Monique to win but I also have known that she can be her own worst enemy. I applaud anyone who stands up for themselves but there is a way to do it. The problem seem to be with the promoter. Monique weaponizes feminism and blackness to advance her own personal agenda. She had a issue with Netflix when she didn't get the contract she wanted. She made the issue with DL a black man vs black woman issue. I haven't seen her actually tell any jokes but rather her ranting. If a legal route if you're wronged, what is the appropriate avenue? how is she weaponizing feminism and blackness? I mean weaponizing gender and race is out the white lady playbook. idk any black woman who has the power to actually do that

@@jusletursoulglobaby She weaponized feminism when during her rant she talked about how black men treat black women and that they are upset that she has a black king at home. This issue had nothing to do with black male/female relationships but by throwing that out there she galvanized that section of her fan base to automatically make DL the bad guy strictly because he was a man without really looking at what happened and it worked. She also weaponized blackness during the Netflix blowup. I had never ever heard Monique champion any black causes or speak about discrimination until she didn't get 20 million dollars from Netflix. The I love us for real line is only used when she wants us to back her foolishness. If she wants to show us she loves us give us her talent and stop making a scene every where she goes. @@BDraftProductions TI did get shows off of popularity. He was able to use his celebrity as a leg up. He was able to go up behind Godfrey at a comedy club and other opportunities. but was he compensated the same as the level of talent he performed with? I doubt it. To answer your question: if Seinfeld A. Wrote produced and directed the movie himself. B. Seinfeld got the job through a friend or family member. Then Yes he’d probably get “Seinfeld money”. But then do you think “Seinfeld money” would be near the customary amount for a lead dramatic actor? Again, I doubt it. I’m just saying comparing apples to apples an Oscar for a dramatic role don’t mean $$$ for a Netflix special it just doesn’t. He would get a rate within budget that is competitive with the rest of the cast- if not more, especially if they don't have the same credentials. People are usually on Mo'Nique's side because she's 1st to run & put everything out in public (making it seem like she's "the victim" exposing something). But, typically, whenever you hear the full story, it seems like she "goes nuclear" over some things that could've & should've been resolved behind the scenes. It's not as if we don't appreciate the drama, but it damages her reputation & those of black women. No one in their right mind is going to want to work w/ a person, who's been known to put everyone she's had a disagreement w/ on blast. Especially in this case, where it seems to be a contract dispute, which she should've resolved in court, instead of on-stage. It's like Mo'Nique is running out of jokes, so she just rants, name-calls, & disparages ppl. While entertaining, that's not comedy & ppl who pay for a real comedy show are going to get tired of it, sooner or later. Personally, I think Mo's funnier than DL, because I don't recall ever laughing at his jokes (her Queens of Comedy performance, effortlessly eclipsed his King of Comedy one). So, I'm not "a hater of female comedians" or anything, but I'll call them out on their foolishness (especially when they try to turn it into a man vs woman argument, when it clearly isn't). I'm tired of ppl making excuses for "bad behavior", especially for a woman who puts on a "sweet as pie" act. If DL would've came on stage & said the vile things Mo' did, then everyone would be like "why would he attack a black woman?" (like Mo' was trying to play up, as the "perpetual victim" that she wants everyone to believe she is, but failed at). Just because most of us have a "crazy auntie", doesn't mean that we should make excuses for her and/or others who act like her, because that's toxic & only emboldens them to perpetuate the problem. IDK why everyone's listing off Mo's old accolades, like they really matter in this instance. 1st off, they're old & you're only as popular as your "current resume" (like Netflix told her). 2ndly, they neglected to list off DL's accomplishment, because he's had his own shows too, that were actually named after him (but since I don't find him funny I never really watched them). 3rd, while admirable, what does Mo' winning an academy award in a "serious film role" in 2010 have to do w/ her headlining a comedy show in 2022? Lastly, if it's a contract dispute, the appropriate thing would be for Mo' to take it up w/ her management & the promoters, in court. Our parents are supposed to teach us "there's a time & place for everything" & "there's a right way & a wrong way to handle situations". For instance: if you're passed up for a promotion, you shouldn't go in the middle of the office & blast the co-worker who got promoted over you, while simultaneously bringing up your grudges w/ your ex-bosses. Because that's plain insane & makes you look worse than the ppl you're berating. But Mo' can do what she wants, I just don't want to hear her cry & complain about the consequences of her own actions (again). Because if any of us were her potential employers we'd wisely steer clear of that possible headache, in advance. And at 54, Mo' knows your reputation precedes you, especially in Hollywood (where she wants to work because of the pay, praise, & privilege it affords her). But everyone coddling her, is only emboldening her to continue her bad behavior, because she clearly won't learn her lesson if she knows "we the people" aren't going to hold her accountable. Because, ultimately, we are the ones paying her bills & keeping her relevant (like we do all celebrities).

@@chandraanjelica5608 Clearly you don't understand hyperbole, & you're clearly falling into Mo's trap about it's man vs woman, instead of a woman who has a pattern of bad behavior. But I'll oblige your hypocrisy. Why is it that whenever a black woman goes thru something she posts "there's no good black men" & I never see any of you making the statement that "one black man doesn't define all black men"? And we all remember in the 90s when talk shows like Oprah, & Ricki Lake would parade around a few examples of "bad black men", but black women weren't saying "they don't represent all black men". And we can see more black women acting like Mo'Nique, than we'll see black men behaving like Lee Daniels. And everyone's been saying Lee seems slimy (especially when he was "dating" his employee, Jussie). So kindly cut the crap. Why aren't you addressing Mo' beefing w/ Oprah? Because that goes against your narrative of playing the "fat black woman victim card", because that's what Oprah is too. And Mo' doesn't handle things BTS, that's the whole point. She runs to play the victim but then gets mad when others don't want to work w/ her. At some point you have to realize that it's not everyone else, but it's Mo'. The only time y'all seem to have a problem w/ her is when she tells y'all to stop wearing bonnets in public, but I digress. 😂

@@MrJohnnyLighting I just didn't like him on Kings of Comedy or any of his shows. But, to each his own, I suppose. I agree w/ you on Patrice & Lavelle being hilarious. Mo' was funny on the Queens of Comedy, because she was so outrageous by subverting the whole "fat girl" jokes to go against "skinny bitches". And back then "fat Mo'Nique" was funny to me, because of her jokes & "animations". Now, I really don't find "skinny Mo'Nique" funny, especially considering all she really does is rant & name-call. Mike Epps can get a chuckle or 2 out of me, but that's about it. I find Steve Harvey as funny as I find Kevin Hart (not at all). But K. The issue isn't that Mo'Nique isn't on par with her male counterparts in comedy. She has achieved a many great things on a level some of them hadn't come close too. The issue is Mo allowed a man to come into her queendom and sully her focus. Notice she didn't have all these issues until after she married that man she calls her husband. He is an instigator for drama, hyping her up against Oprah, Tyler, Lee, Steve and many others. It can't always be everyone else that's the problem, sometimes it's you that's the problem. Your enemy doesn't always have to be a negative vile force that's obvious. Sometimes your enemy may be right in front of your face, sleeping in your bed, eating your food and calling you baby, saying they love you. All the while doing the Devil's work. And that's 💯. DL said he did NOT know Mo'Nique's situation, and she NEVER came to speak to him about the contract situation.

Angel needs to have a segment/bring back a segment called "ask Angel. I would call in all the time for her advice/thoughts.

My teenage daughter's favorite Martin episode is when Martin is sick and Cole spills his soup. Martin says, "Oh damn! My soup!" She thinks that is hilarious!

Black man under 30 here. I’m super comfortable on the grill, but that came with experience of wanting what I like at affordable price. So for the past 7 years since I was 20 I’ve put the time in to learn and get super comfortable. But I think this is def a uncommon thing. But ima bring the bros to the promise land with me, I happily teach anyone who ask.

@@sherondaness7505 I wish it was that easy lol. In my experience with in the black community we all wanna learn but nobody wants a out of the blue invitation to learn, and sadly they my experience is taken as disrespect or doubt of one’s ability. It may be how i communicate but I’ve never seen great success in inviting others to learn with me when they didn’t ask for that invite. Especially on the subject of bbq, kev is a real one and admits where he’s comfortable but most our people could never touch a grill but if you offer to teach they feel a need to save face.
