@@enegizedadam legion starts around $1500 and this laptop you can get for around $700. You can tell the legion has twice as nice a screen. Not as nice as the newer laptops that will crash trying to play video games. It is also about twice as heavy. I believe this is the best budget option for video games besides an actual console which then uses your tv as resolution so your experience here might vary.

The screen is only a drawback if you're sensitive to colors. Otherwise, it's still a solid budget purchase.

Same case I needed a laptop for coding and a few other things and got this bc it went on sale for a ridiculous deal it was between this and a MacBook Air but I’ve never been a big MacBook fan and have my iPad for notes and other small tasks really enjoy the laptop though

Sounds about right. When we test video playback, we use a local video file, just for consistency sakes as a benchmark. Watching on KZfaq would drain it slightly faster.

Same, im thinking about getting the 16 gb 1 tb 3050ti for 850 w my first job, it said around 9 hrs, and you can disable gpu and put performance mode on for battery.

I'm looking for school work and gaming (maybe streaming too) and this is one of the better picks. I have an old HP omen 15 from 2017 which while worked well enough for gaming it wasn't the greatest. It has an HDD instead of an SSD and has only 8gb of ram so games like cs2, valorant and many other games don't run very well. That's why I want to upgrade this year.

I just got the 4050 version and dawg it's as simple as popping out the 500gb stick and putting in a 2TB stick. You are meaning it does not allow a 2nd SSD, this is totally upgradable as is the RAM, which can be swapped for 2 sticks of 32 to up to 64gb which I have also done.

Mines came with 16gb ram and a gtx 3050ti 4gb. I am currently doing a course in Photoshop, illustrator and InDesign and this laptop can handle them. I also do a little video editing. Good budget laptop.

@@paul8645 I recently got one for around £550 GBP and I have to admit to start with I wasn't expecting much, but I can honestly say that this laptop has really surprised me, ok you can't run all games on the highest settings but you can have a mix of medium to high and they still look pretty and you still get decent FPS. plus if you live in the UK you get a free headset and nice usb mouse if you buy from Argos so even better :) I havent really turned on my main gaming rig since getting it as I love the portability and being able to just play a game where I am, also if you can upgrade it to 16gb for that extra bit of performance.

Gaming laptops have come a long long way in 10 years.

There are many specs to IPS panels. The best IPS panels will be superior to the best VA and TN panels. However, some IPS panels, like this one here is just not great.

This is the biggest deal that determines weather I'll buy this laptop. I hate that it's so inconsistent.

After lookign at the Victus 15 service manuals, there aren't any models which have an extra nvme slot. There is space in the motherboard for one, but no m.2 port. Pretty big mistake in the video.

i don't ever recommend ppl game on the go with a laptop.
