The EW-M34 unboxing & setup video was one of the more difficult products that we have reviewed to date. The team at Mobility Scooters Direct encountered several issues that we wanted to point out for full transparency. First, the stickiness of the seat. Once installed, the seat does not easily come out. Despite alternating force or trying different angles, it still gave Sergio some issues. Our worry is that if you are not as strong you may also have issues with removing the seat.
Another issue we encountered was seating the battery correctly. If you just sit the battery where it should be placed, you cannot power on the scooter. You must lift the front of the battery which will effectively lower the rear and allow it to seat. Use the knob and supplied bracket to tighten the shroud which will force the battery terminals to connect. If you do not do this, the scooter will not power on. Even if it does power on, if you hit a bump and the terminals stop connecting you can cause a short which can cause damage to the scooter.
