Kano is so culturally relevant. I would argue in terms of black brits he’s number one. You do understand how long he’s been around. We’re only just appreciating him now. But I remember listening to rock and roll on my blackberry.

I saw his first show in the U.S., at Knitting Factory in NY. The energy was indescribable. Diplo was spinning beats for him and it was just loose and pure joy. Unforgettable. Seeing him get his flowers now is icing on the cake.

I remember I wanna say 01 maybe 02 first hearing Kano on pirate and followed him from that moment grabbed ps and qs from a virgin record store in 05 and never looked back Now to see him in merc ads on top boy on interview shows etc is so inspiring and he's only a year older and also a Newham boy 😎♥️ 2022 yes we can do what we want in ANY CAPACITY

Ratings to this man! I used to work in a garage and him and his cousin came through with their cars back in 2015 just before garage skank released, I remember having a lengthy conversation about his career and how influential he is and as he was leaving he said to me and pointed big things coming brother trust me, prior to 2015 kano was considered done.

It’s so refreshing to see an actor with colour getting parts that seriously show case their skill, regardless of colour. ( if you get me) His ability to pull us in and take us on a silent and powerful ,deep and dark place, is only excellence. Bringing real skill to the screen. Sully got me every time. It wasn't like Kano was just playing himself, Sully was a really complex character and for Kano to put mixed emotions across just through his face and eyes was impeccable.
