Animal Rights is criminally underrated, great ambient pieces and amazing punk songs. Play and 18 are great, so much nostalgia and bangers on both album's.

very true. I remember being at best buy and they had a 3-pack of moby CD's in one box set. It was Animal Rights, Everything is Wrong and I Like to Score. I wish I had purchased that 3-pack because now 15 years later i've really come to appreciate all of those works

Many of Mobys albums are brilliant... Destroyed, Everything Was beautiful, All Visible Objects.... and the punk albums and ambient music.

Even though every album after Play was consistently less successful, I have several favourite songs from 18, Hotel: Ambient, Last Night, Wait For Me, Destroyed, Innocents and forever he will make phenomenal music!

I'm embarrassed to admit that I only really know two songs by Moby- Southside, and My Weakness (which was used in an episode of The X-Files). Fantastic video, Josh!

Porcelain was one of the songs that sparked my obsession with electronic music when I was 15 :) at that time all I'd listen to was rock and metal but a year later pretty much all I was listening to was house music lol

yeah that was THE song that got me into moby and then sent me down a rabbit hole of late 90's techno artists like daft punk, chemical bros, fatboy slim, crystal method, etc.

Fantastic video. I don't have much experience with Moby. I haven't even listened to a full album of his. But I have heard some of his work in commercials and in film and television. Specifically, Any Given Sunday, Deliver Us From Evil and Stranger Things(Season 1). My favorite song of his that I have heard to date is "When it's cold, I'd like to die." I also enjoy Extreme Ways.

Cool video man. I found it after searching for a Moby documentary and I'm pretty impressed with some of the insights you have. If I may make a suggestion, the mic is pretty bad so the mids are way too peaky. Your knowledge and passion are being diminished by a bad mic, I'm subbed and look forward to your new content!

It's ok for you to like Extreme Ways because that's a good song but it's not ok for you to not care for the entire Play album, you are wrong Zack...so very wrong

Another great video, although I would say that Fatboy Slim's "You've Come a Long Way, Baby," which came out a few months before "Play," was similar in its approach.

@@DancingwithGhosts A friend of mine even went so far as to say he felt the "Bodyrock" video was a "rip-off" of the "Praise You" video. I loved both videos and didn't see it that way. I did see those albums as complementary at the time, though. Man, now you've got me nostalgic for 1999.

@@SirHatchporch hahaa me too dude.. when remiscing about Moby it made me super nostalgic and miss those days.. I wish I could have actually gone to a rave in the 90s but i was too young.. Bodyrock is actually my least favorite song off Play, it also feels the most dated
