The one thing that has always stuck in my head from my driving lessons is a comment by my instructor. He said " you need to think of this as me only being here to teach you how to pass the test, the rest is up to you". And he was right as new regulations and signs are intorduced and old ones are removed. A great example of this is when I passed my test, there was no such things as a bus lane. One new sign that has been intorduced that always makes me smile is on the way to my current job the road gose between two large ponds adn there are "🦆crossing" signs. 😀

I need to understand there's a massive difference between learning how to drive/passing your drivers test. And actually driving. If you fail a drivers test. It's very possible you'd be just fine on the road. Think I check my lights mirrors oil every time I drive? I never do apart from the oil but even that is just regular maintenance. You learn to drive effectively not legally. If everyone drove legally there world would be a much slower place
