mine got stuck in the "cocked" position so I had to take it apart, as soon as I opened it up all the parts flew out, this video helped me put it back together, thanks!

Wouldn't you know, Hasbro finally decided to strengthen the bolt sled on this thing! I just went through the standard mod process on this Longstrike (AR removal, spring replacement, lock removal) and the thing primes *one handed* with a *12kg* NFstrike Retaliator spring! That's unbelievable to me, the sled is a whole lot stronger than it was on older Longstrikes (I have a Sonic and a Whiteout as well as this Modulus shell). Comparing the two, the sled has gotten much thicker up front and around the pin location, which is awesome! I would not recommend priming that much weight one handed forever, but the fact that it's capable of doing it is really cool!

Super cool! When he was saying, "let's see if the 12kg fits" I'm thinking the 6kg is the best he could do for 1 handed priming, but apparently not anymore with the new design. Thanks for the info!

I think the problem was the gauge of the wire for the spring had to be thin enough for the spring to fit all the way down into the spring rest. The plunger system is indeed capable of taking 12kg though, I still haven't broken anything on mine and I'm still priming one handed!

Plunger looks slightly above retaliator size, might be good for sealed breeches.

Sooo stoked to get my hands on one of these!! Also I thought it was funny how THIS was a modulus blaster and the NEW Rapidstrike is an accustrike blaster?? 😂 in my opinion the two should’ve been switched around. The longstrike would’ve been cool in the accustrike line. Great video, mods are fun to watch!

Just would like to give a little feedback, although many people watching this would know what the locks do, it would be good to explain what each of the locks do so that people who are not as experienced can know what they do and choose if they do or don’t want those locks, otherwise great video, keep up the awesome work, you will always have this Aussie subscriber!

which spring did you use and where can i get it? i am planning on buying a longstrike and making it a lot more powerful, so i can actually snipe, or at least get some decent range for nerf wars, so i can hide in a tree and shoot at distant targets/friends/victims

The internals look similar to the older ones except a normal plunger and there a little larger

I never understood why people remove locks from springers I mean its there to keep the blaster from mechanical malfunctions either by human error or accidents. Electronic locks I get, those eat up a bit of voltage and air restrictors those add obstruction to air flow but other than that nah

When you are testing the performance gains what are the numbers you are mentioning? Speed and if so what unit of speed is it feet per second?

Justin Kim tried it with the mediator which has pretty much the same plunger and plunger tube and also tried with the raptorstrike and it won’t fit.

I do not know what I did wrong. But when I pull it back to prime it it will not lock in it just goes back towards the front.

That means it's not catching so that could have something to do with the catch spring not being strong enough or the plunger not going far enough back to catch. That would probably mean your spring is too long.

I personally have an 8.2kg Retaliator srping in my Tri-Strike. It MAY OR MAY not work with the Modulus Longstrike.

No, It should still work fine. Removing the locks just make it more user-friendly and function a bit smoother.

I finally got my hand on one of these, and even though I like its performance, I think it need a little more punch. However, given the price tag, and how hard it was for me to find it, I would really like to avoid breaking it. So, the question is; if I mod the Longstrike with a new spring, what would be the highest kg that I could put in without condemning the blaster to eventually break. A couple of things I would like to add: - I would not be doing absolutely anything else to the blaster past the spring replacement. - I might need to use a spring from a different blaster. Which ones are compatible? - I live outside from the US. So, which company can send a spring overseas? Thank you so much!

My guess is probably not. I'd have to try to find out. They've definitely added quite a few elements changing this from reverse to direct plunger.

I've put retaliator internals in my longstrike. It's difficult but possible. Putting the modulus internals in the old longstrike would probably be easier.

So the bolt is a very snug fit, I'm pretty sure most nerf bolts strip themselves when you out them in, so you are going to need to pry it off with the back end of a hammer.
