Great video! I modified a TP4056 to charge a LI2032 coin cell with a fixed resistor. I will have to give this a try as having a variable current seems much more useful.

I tried to measure current with the same setup at 5:51 except that I use Volt/Current Meter Display instead of multi meter. It shows only voltage which is around 4v with and without turning ON the power. But it shows only 0 amp while charging. Red and Blue LED light up so the current must able to flow through the display meter and back to the module.

The original R3 programming resistor for 1A output is a 1.2 kΩ resistor. Can you please explain why you chose a 680 Ω resistor?
@Bocha698 ай бұрын
I think he didn't have a 1.2 kΩ resistor. We can see that because he stopped turning the potentiometer as soon as the current reached 1A on the multimeter... he could've turned the potentiometer more.

Value resistor 680 OHM ?
@johncoops68974 ай бұрын
The single resistor should be 1.2k, so that even if potentiometer set to zero, there will be minimum of 1.2k as-per datasheet. This guy is just a hack
