Modelling the SDKFZ 11 Tractor Episode 2

Continuing the modelling of the JTFM Enterprises SDKFZ 11 tractor in 1/56 scale.
This episode sees some paint finally being sprayed onto the model, starting with an enamel primer, and quickly followed up with 4 shades of Dunkelgrau.
The acrylic paints I've used in this video can all be acquired by one purchase, and that's the AK Interactive German Panzer Gray paint modulation set.

Humbrol has a nice grey enamel primer, which can be thinned and put through an airbrush. I plan on using this when I start my Comet. I noticed you didn't go for modulation, I learned about this recently, and it can come off great, but at this scale, what you're doing works well too. Can't wait for episode three now.

Greig Burges Thanks! I haven't put any enamels through my airbrush to date, due to the fumes and cleanup. Yes, there are other ways of priming. I'm trying to find a Tamiya enamel primer, which would hopefully give more control over the spraying than this huge automotive spraycan. Episode 3 should be out sometime around the weekend - I pick up some paint brushes and try to color between the lines :)

becstadotcom It's important to be wary of fumes indeed, I made a spray booth at work because I was interested in trying out new things. It'll get some use when I start ^_^
