Back at it with another episode of Curb Appeal! Today we are recreating this beautiful French Country transitional home for a family of 5 Sims! This build ended up way bigger than expected but I do love the layout and how it turned out in the end! I nearly cried trying to furnish this kitchen but I think we pulled through. I talk a lot about how to set goals and my methods of goal setting which helped me get to where I am today! You'd be surprised how much French country architecture has influenced American homes. One of the hallmarks of French country is large windows and steep roofing. They are traditionally more rustic, but this design is modern French country so it tracks. It's beautiful and you did a great job. C'est magnifique!

I would definitely turn the home gym into a greenhouse space. I have one in a lot of my builds because if you want your sim to be into gardening you don't even have to worry about seasons and outside weather, since the plants are sheltered you can grow anything at any time of year.

Thank you for talking about changing and setting goals. I assume that you are younger than me. I am 39 this year. I grew up with anxiety when there was an abusive parent and negligent guardians. I have used the technique you mentioned in your video since I needed to parent myself at a very young age, not letting myself become those who showed me exactly who they were. It really works. It is a trick to myself, but I never tell them my plan. It is ok if telling people works out for some people, I am just over here without telling any plan. Blink!!

i’ve always been a more disorganized person and i’ve never been able to keep up with a planner this year i didnt hv a goal until a friend got me a planner and i decided i’m gonna use it i told my family about it and they thought it was a good idea ngl i’m not amazing at keeping up with it but most days i’ll pick it up at least once and just check off my to-do list baby steps

Such a nice house!! I watched the whole thing and I absolutely love it! I’ve been wanting to start a KZfaq channel since my teens, and I’m turning 27 in April 😢makeup, sims, fashion, hair.. but I’ve been dealing with unknown health issues for over a decade and finally just got a diagnosis, I haven’t even had my first appointment yet. Chronic pain has completely wrecked my life from my mid-teens, and I’m really hoping I’ll be able to get it together this year now that I know at least part of the reason behind it, and once I’m being properly treated and can maybe function better. I started wanting to do makeup stuff, and ended up working at a small Canadian Sephora store for almost 4 years, until last January when I left. I also love clothing, and embroidery, but my hands hurt sometimes and it doesn’t take much.. so hand embroidery is out of the question I’d love to make a business out of one of my hobbies. I build mostly in The Sims 4 (ShelbyyPlaysSims on the Gallery 😂❤) but also love doing CAS, I just don’t do a ton of actual gameplay (starting to alternate a little more lately though)

I really love the outside of this build! The inside is great too. I personally love more neutral colors, so I would have chose some different colors for things, but other than that it’s an amazing build! #StayedUntilTheEnd

I love this build! I would’ve put like a vanity table in the master bedroom where you put the couch and I also would’ve made the gym area like a little apartment type area for the older teenager!

i don’t know what french country houses are meant to look like but i live in France and i’ve never seen these types of houses, or barely, so i don’t know what’s so french about it lol. i think it looks super beautiful though, but i feel like it’s the same style as other houses you’ve built before so i don’t know how this one is particularly more « french »🤷🏻‍♀️ but this is still my favorite house style so i love it!! it turned out absolutely gorgeous🥰🤍

Ashley, I just recently built my irl home and I needed a garage door and I didn’t know what to use because on my sims I don’t have doors that looks like the garage doors so I used the seasons door and it just looked weird, but thank you for the cats and dogs tip!😅 lol😂

I have a family of 6 with two pairs of twins, I might download this one to move them in because once the twins age up from baby I don’t know if I can fit them in the apartment they’re currently in! Lol but then I worry about the bills of this house and if they can survive on dads teaching salary. 😂

I love watching your speed builds while playing ts4! Your perspective on goals actually helped me a lot with this anxiety you have when you don'tknow what to do. So I guess one goal for me is just to keep up my good grades, but also deciding hat I wanna do after school. (I live in Switzerland, so the school system is different here) I'm now in the last semester of my curent school which is kinda like highschool in a way. (You can choose to do an apprenticeship after 9th grade, most people do that, but I went to school for another 4 years so that I can study.) I have realised that I don't wanna study next year though, I really wanna go and earn some money. I might wanna become a nurse, so I think I'll apply in a few hospitals to try that out. So I guess that's my goal too... But maybe that'll change in a month, who knows. Anyway, thank you for sharing your perspective, it helped!

I'm going to get monetized this year... that's my goal. Will it be easy? No. I have a lot of responsibility hanging over my head right now with life stuff, but if I don't make time for what I enjoy then it will never happen. I love this style of build and have one saved that I would love to build in real life for my husband and I. It is very much my dream home.

Schedule things in the morning like going to a yoga class! Even if it costs money, it will hold you accountable (since you can’t cancel it last minute) and consider it an investment in yourself which is money well spent! Once you’ve gotten used to it, you’ll be able to wake up no problem! :)
