The depression and anxiety of youth. Not knowing which way to go. Every option is available. Then comes the depression and anxiety of 20's and 30's working for what you decided. Then the depression in your 40's and 50's of what could have been. Then the depression of just existing sets in. Then the only thing left is to just fade to black.

I have to say, watching the new generations getting into this type of classic metal from the 80's just makes me regain faith in younglings little by little with all the crappy music today, so watching this is like a breather man, congrats on taking your friend with you in this journey. I'm saying this because it looks like you're the one who knows a lil more of this stuff, IDK, I might be wrong, whatever the case is just rewarding, keep rocking hard!! 🎸

I can remember Metallica getting harsh reviews from many loyal fans hearing this track for the first time. Many of them felt as though the band had gone soft and strayed from their earlier thrash metal status with what some considered more of a slower paced ballad. IMHO Metallica never sold themselves out to commercial success and always tried to keep it 💯🤘

Please pause the song when making commentary on it. It's not that you talk too much, it's that at times when talking, you miss some critical parts of this masterpiece. EDIT: And it's harder for us to hear you if you're talking over the song.
