Today is August 14th and a special day for Pakistan as the country celebrates its independence with Pakistan Day - a national holiday. And instead of heading out very far from our hotel today we decided to check out the very modern side of Pakistan and visit Centaurus Mall and the kids FunCity Arcade inside the mall! Have you heard of Centaurus Mall in Islamabad? It is enormous! And this is the first time our kids have ever been to an arcade like this. Such fun!

Reminds me of the Minera Mall in Casablanca. The sweet people around you have probably never seen blond hair in person. Especially long hair on boys! Your beautiful NZ smiles really bring people into you. The hospitality and kindness of the Pakistanis contradicts our prejudiced American view of a dangerous territory run by terrorists. I hope many more Americans will learn from your videos how rewarding travel can be in our lives. Also, as a former teacher, what a great math lesson. I'm with Oscar on good ol' Subway. There are blonde people in Northern pakistan esp. Gilgit Baltistan,Kashmir and Chitral but the number is less than way too much indic people in south so yes quite surprising

There are loads of foreigners in Islamabad, all the embassies are there. People have blond hair in KPK/GB and some areas in Kashmir. Pakistan is quite modern when it comes to malls, hotels and restaurants.
