I am worst when, for example, turning a corner and coming face-to-face with an enemy at mid-range. A quick draw scenario, if you will. Even when I see them first, I can't pop my sights up fast enough and accurately enough. They almost always get the jump on me, which is why I (ashamedly) resort to camping. Fully auto weapons always jump all over the place for me. I probably should stop sprinting as much, too... Good point.

Whenever I get a Sentry Gun on Terminal, I always put it in the back of inside the plane on that little edge....

i saw an invasion game on your profile where the whole match you were in one window. if you usually camp that much it sounds like you're in a vicious cycle. you camp because you aren't good at mid range combat because you spend all your time camping instead of going mid range. to break the cycle you gotta resist the urge to camp and move around the map a lot more. you'll die a lot at first, but you'll gradually improve at 'quickdraw' as you call it. the ACR has almost no recoil, give it a try.
