Yes all of that is true.. but there is one small issue. MW2019 had almost 5 years to be worked on. Cold war was more of a reasurance that took only about a year, maybe 2 years. And, It was all done during quarantine. Still a fun game to play in my opinion. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the zombies in cold war was really well made.

3 years later and seeing the actual states of things : - It's cool you make a georgeous game, but if it goes 1000 miles per hour anyway you have no time to look at how beautiful it is. - Going from that, it's cool you make z beautiful game, it's better you make an enjoyable game and not a land for all the sweaties around here CW wasn't perfect, but sure as shit he was fun. Cause deep down, it has heart.

It upsets and depressed me so much because MW was literally the first time in awhile I was REALLY back into a cod game. The operators were neat and had good voice lines and the animations and small details were just so crisp and revolutionary. Like you can TELL they put alot of time and effort into the game and realism. Some of my favorite modes were the night maps and the hardcore modes because I feel like they went back to their military sim roots. Then literally a year later they jump back on the shit train. I refused to buy cold war because when I played the beta it felt and looked like an absolute downgrade. The saddest part about the whole thing is coldwar watered down warzon in my opinion. I wish they had literally just taken their time and made cold war just as good and found a way to properly implement it into the warzone rather than hur de hurrrr dump all gunz in game dat make sense. Like they could have coasted on the success of MW and Warzone for YEARS before needing a new game.

Modern Warfare 2019’s weapon design, animation, gunsmithing, and just general attention to detail both historically and artistically is just absolutely phenomenal. Even the descriptive text for each gun is fantastically written. I’m still blown away by the quality and imo Cold War and especially Vanguard will never hold a candle to that. While I still continually appreciate MW2019’s weapon selection in my personal load outs in Warzone, I am also excited for how Modern Warfare 2 will take the same beautiful concepts, animations, and designs and take them to the next level with even newer guns. At least that’s how I hope it will go.

The heavy weapons in MW actually feels they have weight to them. The Rytec and the M82 are the perfect example. Almost the same gun, and the Rytec feels really heavy and realistic.

I play Cold War not because of minor details, sure, they add to the realism, and truthfully speaking, i wish they were reimplemented in Cold War. But at the end of the day, i find myself having more fun playing Cold War than Modern Warfare. That statement refers to the core gameplay, maps, gamemodes, etc. I like Cold War because it has an classic approach to the gameplay aesthetic, making it feel like i'm back in the day when Black Ops 1 has released, but more modernized. Even though indicating a more polished videogame that passion can be seen in action, i don't even notice these. Why? It doesn't affect the core gameplay. I prefer just playing the game rather than checking these tiny details. I like Cold War because it lacks campers, the maps are fun to play on, the gameplay is awesome. Every mistake i make feels like my fault. That's why i hate Warzone, everything seems to happen suddenly, everything seems like i'm flipping a coin. I'm looting somewhere for gear, then suddently, some dude at 10000 million kilometers away just shoots me with an sniper rifle. It's not fun. Also, some maps are not even suited for the game's multiplayer (cough, cough, Demolition on Rust), and worse: everyone and everything just keeps camping, waiting for the right moment to shoot me out of nowhere. The tactical running seems to make matters worse, because if people just keep running like Usain Bolt, what am i supposed to do? It's just unfun. This game is a great example of realism shattering the experience, at least, in my opinion. Cold War's maps are amazing to play in, every weapon feels viable to use, like, SNIPER RIFLES!!!!!! Pistols, even knives! To win the game, instead of camping, the team must actually build tactics to eliminate the enemy team. The gamemodes, complemented with the awesome maps, actually fit with each other, and in case a map doesn't fit in the gamemode it's in, it's removed. The weapons feels good to use, and for me, that plays on PS5, the haptics say it all. They're so good. The only thing that is bad within the game is the stupid microtransactions that, of course, also is present in Modern Warfare. But i could care less about the stupid cosmetics. I just play the game to have fun, not for the cosmetics. Have your own opinion? I respect that (it's insane i have to tell people this every time i have an unpopular opinion).

I never realised how much love and care was put into the third-person models in MW. The entire body is naturally moving as if the mo-cap model was ACTUALLY reloading. the character even looks where he moves his hand while grabbing the mag to put into the rifle.
