In addition, I rarely hear anyone romanticize the 50s nowadays. Nowadays, whenever I dress in a 1950s style and post it on social media, people say things like “where’s your cocktail of antidepressants? XD” or “try adding a lobotomy scar next time”. Even the tradwives don’t seem to romanticize the 50s; they’re more so trying to bring back the 1860s, considering how many of them dress like pioneers and live on farms.

6:10 AAA games need to succeed on the American market. That means it must be possible to play as an American. Before 1943, there were no Americans in WW2. Also, if you already have Americans, then the French are easy to implement, because in the late war they mostly used American equipment. Brits, Soviets and Japanese all require their own gear designs (which makes them perfect candidates for DLC).

We need a WW2 shooter where the story takes place across the entire war and not just playing as a guy from the USA. Like every mission could have you play as somebody different. One mission you could be a spy in Germany, in another mission you could be an officer trying to escape from a POW camp.

Small correction, December 7, 1941. Also Japan invaded the Philippines in January 1942 if you want land battles. Americans were in WW2 before 1943, just not in Europe.

Its ironic, because the Imperial Japanese flag is completely fine. Even though the Japanese committed arguably even worse crimes against humanity. Facist Italy flag, and also the hammer and sickle, even though stalin did many many crimes against humanity. For example Roblox only censors the swastika, yet all the other flags I listed are completely fine.

@@Matias-dr3ys People can, but the erasure of the nazi swastika has ironically made it harder and linked all similar symbols back to it. people aren't able to as easily recognise the hate symbol as they arent familiar with it, so anything that's similar gets lumped in based off preconcieved suspiciouns

The Modern WW2 games always start in 1943-1945 because that's when the United States kinda really stepped in. I know USA joined in 1941 December. There's literally no other countries besides the main big ones. Britain, France, USA, USSR, and German. No other countries like Australia, Japan, China, Canada, Poland, etc. It's sad because a lot of these countries have helped a lot in WW2.

More alternative options actually DECREASE traffic, so you can drive more comfortably, which is why we also have quite some cars (Not as much per person as the bikes, and we also have a lot of trains and busses etc., but still quite some cars).

COD 3 had Polish and Canadian campaigns as well. Treyarch was really trying to cook with underrepresented fighting forces of world war 2. The only other games that have tried are Forgotten Hope 2 and Easy Red 2.

It's not just about the dutch bikers, but the dutch bikes. Those things are made out of heavy steel of somekind, they are quite sturdy often with front and/or back storage areas also made out of steel, so most cases if a car hits one it's the car that gets damaged. Every one car out of 4/5 had some marks when we visited. (The massive merican trucks are a different story, they are definitely more deadly even to dutch bikes)

@@Hvvb-lf2nd The Iron Cross dates back to the Teutonic Order, Prussia, Imperial Germany, and the Weimar Republic. H-man continued the tradition of giving it to people as a high honor for military service but he only used the no-no flag. Some Spanish guy who moved to Portugal became a British spy pretending to work for Germany and he was convincing enough to earn the Iron Cross.

The cross is an emblem of the German military, both before and after the Nazi period. I'm not aware of it ever having been on the German national flag, however.

The reason WW2 games usually take place between 1943 and 1945 is because they like to focus on America in the seacond world war because thats the only country that fought against the Germans, apparently. It's so bad i knew a guy who thought that the WW2 started December 7th, 1941, when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Little historical fact that Canada declared war on Japan December 7th, 1941, before the United States Declared War on December 8th, 1941.

Problem with thumbnail, a bunch of ww2 games try to ignore bolt actions unless they have the hubnle telescope mounted atop them at 50 metres 7:10 tbf the last cavalry charge was done by Poland very successfully as well as the germans using horses where mechanised forces werent absolutely necessary ( no oil lol ) and im pretty sure they were used by the soviets a bit but probably not on the frontlines ( like ww1 eastern front but way more explosions )

Little bit of Yellow Peril. And James (in)famous for Shōgun saga book for Englishmen Samurai based off a real guy. Turns out there's a lot of stereotypes about samurai and Japanese feudal culture many Japanese citizens bring up as anachronistic. One example is exaggerating how Seppuku trigger happy everyone gets.

The problem with the no no German flag is Germany has made it illegal in video games which to be fair seems like something a no no German would do i.e. banning a flag. So if you make a game set in WWII you can either make a separate version for Germany or you can just make the flag a different flag.

The municipality was created by basically cutting the province of Sichuan in half and making the eastern part the municipality (or "province") of Chongqing. Would love a WW2 games when you can be a French guy, a Polish guy, a Yugoslav guy or even a Greek guy that saw and fought the Axis during the invasion of their respective countries and then the second part of their campaign is them resisting. Also would be great some DLCs about countries like Indian Raj against Japan/Siam (the Azad state in north east india), Norvegian resistance or heck even Australia against Japan

I seen Europeans travel to my hometown in Northern California before, mostly rich Germans, some have REALLY badass RVs that look like they used to be military trucks

Honestly i hate how we can't show the actual nazi german flag, they commited attrocities yeah, but so did for example the soviets but we ain't censoring them Besides, its HISTORY, there's nothing wrong talking about "How this country used to do x thing which was horrendous" because if anything, we learn that so we don't commit the same mistakes
