The IQAir Atem X is a circular HEPA air purifier. During our tests it reduced both PM2.5 and PM10 to 0.1, showcasing fantastic purification performance. It has a maximum wind speed of 12.5 mph which creates 65.1 dB of noise. The Atem takes little setup, is easy to use thanks to touch buttons and a simple app, and requires infrequent maintenance.

it costs even more than the healthpro plus but doesn't have any carbon filter? i'm not seeing the big advantage here

@blakkheim I think the only benefit is it filters a larger room at a faster rate because of the fan design.

Fantastic video. Question: for 500 sq ft. What are your top recommendations at the high end for seasonal allergies like pollen. Would this be it or is it overkill? Also, thoughts on Dyson TP 09? Other contenders? Thanks!

This is definitely overkill for 500 sq. ft. TP09 is over priced in my view...a great performer, but again, just overkill and overpriced. For 500 sq. ft. Just wondering for clarification, is it 0.3 microns or 0.003 microns like the iq air health pro? I’m curious if this filters PM 1.0 as well as the IQ Air Health Plus

You conduct quite a few of these reviews "in a medium sized room in your office". You have many air purifiers. What are you doing to the room to "dirty it up" for testing? How long does it take to get dirty?

We burn incense to "dirty up" the air quality for each test. It only takes around 30 seconds of incense burning to hit dangerous levels of airborne particulates.

How does the compare to the health pro model, does the health pro clean the air quicker or does this model ?

Missing a test to check if the unit produce or reduce the amount of VOC / TVOC

Unfortunately, the equipment required to accurately measure VOC / TVOC is simply prohibitively expensive for us.

I really wanted the X but the missing carbon filter is a deal breaker. For $1300, it should check off all the boxes. Healthpro Plus is a much older model and it has 5lbs of charcoal so what’s going in with the Atem X? Rip off

Indeed - I do think for most the HealthPro Plus just makes way more sense. The Atem X does look super cool though.

@@ModernCastle i would love the Atem X .. but the price.. in my country there are many healthPro Plus at secondhand platforms for about 400 .. often mit relatively new filters .. paying 900 more for a new one would be a waste
