Very nice analysis! The scores are interesting, but I would suggest that each person evaluate their unique situation. Eliminating fluoride (a known neurotoxin) is a top priority for me. As such, the Zero Water is my preferred unit. Others may have other desires.

Hi, great content! A question, Recently purchased the Shark Stratos IZ420UKT (believe the same model, Europe)as to your review. As this is my first cordless vacuum I am unsure how this compares in the overall rankings. Initially I decided on a Dyson V11 or around that range however they are now sold out in my area. So I went with the Stratos model. It seems to be good but I have only used it once, but I am considering to return the Shark and instead go with a Samsung Jet range 75, 90 etc mainly as I think the cleaning/maintenance off the machine is simpler with the Samsung jet range and overall performance might be better. Or is the Stratos a superior machine in comparison to the Jet range for Samsung, Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
@ModernCastleКүн бұрын
Stratos and Jet 75 / 90 are about the same with respect to performance. I think the Stratos has a cooler feature set so I'd probably just stick with that one.

This is a really good review list! I appreciate you going over each individual factor rather than just giving an "overall" performance score (like the first video recommended to me). Means viewers can more easily weight the features that matter to their situation more! In particular, pointing out that that one brand is bagless immediately made it stand out to me, since I hadn't even considered that that wasn't standard and I have no interest in ongoing "subscriptions" to products through having to remember to buy things like bags (both my proper big vacuum and my small dustbuster/stick vacuum are bagless and I just empty them directly into the bin on the far too infrequent occasions I actually remember to vacuum, hence looking for the robots!) Overall, great job! Would love access to a spreadsheet of all the scores in all the categories for all the vacuums, including those which didn't make the "general purpose" cut here but might be more applicable to those in specific situations (eg those with fully carpeted homes with no interest in a mop attachment). Also, I know this is something that changes a lot, but a sample price (at least for at the time of filming) or at least a price range for each price category would be super useful for those looking to purchase! When just starting research, I have no idea if these products are in the $200, $500, $1000, or $2000+ range, and as such have no idea if my budget means I should be looking at high, middle, or low-end devices. Edit: Oh, it seems like you've been actually reading and responding to comments! In that case, if you don't already have it, it would be amazing if you did a separate video talking about the best robot vacuums for different living situations! Eg small apartment all carpet would be a very different set of criteria to big house with a mix of hardwood and rugs. Can also address situational questions like how important is smart navigation over "dumb" navigation in a relatively small space (my own is ~50m^2 for example) as I assume the benefit of coverage gained for the cost is lower than for a large house with many rooms. Also, the relative sizes of the docking stations is more important in a smaller space, so giving an idea of area occupied while docked would be useful. And on the other side, somebody in a large house would probably care more about battery life to get an idea of how much of the house will get cleaned every day! And also, you can get more videos out of the same test results 😜

Would like to see how a DIY Corsi-Rosenthal box stacks up against all of these. I just made one with a $20 box fan and 4 MERV-13 filters. Ive seen tests where they are beating out almost every HEPA because of the high CADR, but I havent seen it compared to a comprehensive list. Usually its like 4 or 5 different things being tested. Even just slapping a single filter to the back of a box fan seems to beat out most of the low end HEPA filters it seems.

If it's already been heavily smoked in your need professional cleaner services to remove that from walls and carpets. If you're still smoking in there then a purifier with a large carbon filter is what you need. IQAir GC MultiGas would be my top pick. Hi! Love your reviews :) Are you sure the edge cleaning test was properly done? Could it be a faulty unit? I ask since i have not seen any other reviewer mention this as an issue. 43% or what it was in your review is super bad and think that more would have mentioned it if it was an issue. Keep up the good work!
@ModernCastle5 күн бұрын
It's possible we just got a faulty unit. Also possible there was an error in our testing. I'll double check with my testers. That said, our edge test is a pretty straight forward test, there's not much room for human error.

I am super super sensitive to noise. I am planning on using it for a bedroom in basement. I am debating between Levoit and MA 50. I like most thing about MA 50 except that it doesn’t have an auto mode. I am thinking that maybe having an auto mode like Levoit, despite being a little bit louder, would be better because it would be running intermittently instead of continuously? But I am not sure. What do you think?
@ModernCastle6 күн бұрын
Go MA-50. It's a better purifier than most anything from Levoit. Auto mode is fine and all, but it's not substantially different from just putting it on medium-low power and leaving it on 24/7, which is what you'll do with the MA-50.

The debris test might give inaccurate results in a four walled simulation as shown in the video. I'm a Q8 Max+ owner and my robovac throws particles in other directions on hard floor (non rug), sometimes under the couch and other places that it might have already cleaned. In such cases, I usually have it on the 2X cleaning mode to ensure dual passes.
