Great sermon! 🙌🏼 My modesty journey didn’t happen overnight but God has been so patient with me 🙂 I no longer have a desire to show everything off but to cover my body instead. I don’t NEED or want that type of attention for men. I want to dress in a way that honors and glorifies God 🕊️🙏🏼❤️ I want to represent Christ in the best way possible. It’s not about me, it’s about Him!

Shouldn't that be something that you just do because The Bible says that it's the way Godly people should act? That's great that you eventually reached that place, but FEELING like you DESIRE to be modest is different from BEING modest because that's what God WANTS you to do.

I hope that the men who watch this know that you should honestly take a long hard look at yourselves too. Your takeaway should not to feel that in some twisted way you are 'justified' that it's women that need to fix up. We ALL play a part in this. If you focus on your own modesty, revealing your own dignity, you won't be quick to dump the blame on women. Ask yourselves, what roads perpetuating immodesty lead to me. Your probable desire to be with multiple women is immodest. Your probable direct/indirect support of an environment that socializes girls into toxic and unrealistic standards that we all now have to navigate is immodest. Your probable unhealthy relationship with wealth and material things (that also happens to make you a stumbling block for women - knowing full well that we live in a materialistic society) is immodest. Let us reveal our dignity by focusing on the role we play, not our savior or moral guide complex. I say all this not to counteract what was preached because the core message is not untrue, I say it to supplement because I - not as a general sentiment - I felt like the message needed to equally dissect men's immodesty especially if we consider that according to the preacher, it's not just about the body, it's about the heart. I hope while this message is not untrue, there are more messages out there that help men as well by focusing on how we have missed the mark, not because of women, but because of our own shortcomings. Messages that let women know that they are not the sin of the world but are also victims and the sin nature of men equally take away from them everywhere but also in the area of modesty. I really do say this in love and will probably find a better way of saying it in the future because there is growth and grace. Stay blessed everyone.

Just come on man. Like you're right ok? But if men were commanded to do something, there are no pastors, no comments, no men and ofcourse no women in the comments section saying that it doesn't just apply to men, and that it's not about how men act, but their heart....You just WILL NOT ever see that. Why? Because the church is feminist. It is carefully balanced between keeping women feeling happy, and following Christ. I haven't been to church in 10 years. This is partially why. Weakness, lack of conviction and certainty, and a watering down of the truth within the church. This comment is partly that. Adding context and caviats to soften the commandments which are clearly stated for women. Why? I know why. But it shouldn't be so. If all of the women start yelling about R4p3, that is a spirit of defiance, and rebellion coming forth. To shame and belittle those who say words which are counter to their TRUE ideology. Feminist Idolatry.

I’ve been thinking on Modesty recently and I think modesty is actually way better and even hotter. I think so because as humans we are natural attracted to the other sex. And if we constantly see immodesty then when we find get to that intimate part in our relationship it’s not as meaningful or exciting because we are so use to seeing them in an immodest way. But if you live and project modesty, not only are you respecting yourself but when you eventually get to that intimate part of the relationship, it’s that much more meaningful and exciting. You get to explore your partner and see your partner in ways you never have before.

I want to laugh at all the offended women on these comments because they dress like the world and wanted no accountability yet want that golden ticket to heaven, but I can't laugh because it's so incredibly sad that the church is full of so much deception. You act like you're the fruit in the garden.... You are attractive and desire to be looked at but want the blame to be on everyone else when they look. Grow up in the Lord! I grew up the exact opposite from today's anything goes church culture and men wore long sleeves and women wore dresses, no make up, and couldn't cut their hair, and all the traits of the religious Pharisees were present in our hearts and churches. Thank the Lord he delivered our family from that but we did not go the opposite direction. This man is speaking the truth... Accept it and thank our God that has young men behind the pulpit willing to teach the truth.

Although what this man is speaking is the truth, as a Christian you must learn to be gentle and speak the truth in love. Idk if you are a brother or sister in Christ but this comment comes off as very proud and almost aggressive and accusing. I recommend that you pray for those people instead of responding this way. Learn that many people think differently and their offense or thoughts come from pain of the past-pray for them don’t mock them.

I grew up without a Father. So many walk that same path of life, never knowing the TRUE guidance a Father can provide, the sense of protection, the unwavering love a Father is supposed to extend to his children. It only got harder once I had children of my own, HOW do I be a Father, when I don’t even know what it means…so many abandon their children asking that same question to themselves. God changed everything, God began showing me what it meant to love, to care, to nurture…but not just my children, but those around me “thy neighbor”. I realized I knew no Father, just so I could come to know THE FATHER, when the time was right 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 We are going to have “Moments of Uncertainty” But that is not as important as the element you use to relieve yourself. Many followers of Christ are still indulging in our vices and addictions to relieve our “Uncertainties” Lean on God in your darkest moments, lean on the word that says you were created with meaning and purpose, lean on the Grace of God…let it steady your mind, your heart and your body. I don’t know who I’m writing to, who’s reading this, but God is ready, and waiting for you to seek him, through Jesus Christ, whom he sent to die the death meant for you and I. Not just on Sunday, not just when you “need” him, not just when you’re desperate…but every day, hour, minute and second of your life. Develop consistency in Christ, and you will come to know what it means to “Be still, and know, that he is God” Glory be to God 🩸🩸🩸 If I still have you here, God bless you, join me as I take you inside a moment of my own personal “Uncertainty” in life, while never forgetting God has me always 🙏🏽🕊 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jL6WirSl3dTboZc.html 🕊

Modest most def is the hottest when the girl is on fire for God and God's fire is burning in me. There's a godly hot that doesn't need to brag or flaunt but speaks loudly in other ways. That said, this convicted me. I work out a lot. I inherited my mom's looks. And I think I have recently been dressing in an immodest way as a guy. I started to follow what some of my other Christian brothers told me, and that was to drop the oversized, baggy clothing in order to attract a wife. So I did. And I did get more attention but it's made me feel dirty coz I can see it's had relatively little to do with my inward self. God wanted me to hear this sermon. I began to hide my passion for God coz I thought Christian girls were put off by it, like it didn't vibe...it didn't get me many friends at church coz it often meant people thought I was OTT coz I would rarely not relate any topic to God or His kingdom and His will...but this was really me suppressing the truth in order to win the approval of man. God bless you for this. Boasting in God alone and clothing oneself in modesty and good works is true power. God's power, to give Him the glory alone, and for Him to call me His own.

@Diane Because by covering their bodies women reveal their godly character... If all a woman can do to attract men is make him commit adultery with her in his heart, it shows that she's not marriage-material. Her method of getting male attention is by stimulating the lowest part of the male mind instead of the highest parts. This suggests she's more interested in getting her psychological needs met than finding a husband to start a family with. Any women can stimulate almost any man's lower brain by dressing immodestly. Don't be fooled into thinking that your character is complimented when you get lots of sexual attention. It truly has nothing to do with your character. That's why women who can attract us with their character appear super special in our eyes- not every woman can do it. Every woman get garner sexual attention. Godly men don't compete with ungodly men, and ungodly men can't get ungodly women- godly women are so smart that ungodly men don't pursue them- they're dressed like librarians! Godly men are attracted to character. By following God's word and covering up what He says should be uncovered only to their husband during sex, women tell us a few things: - She's living by God's word, which suggests a whole load of other great things about her character and values, including honesty. - She has high standards, because she's purposefully not dressing in a way that attracts ungodly men. These are the men who are most likely to view women as tools, and she's happy to look like a librarian to them. She's very clever. - She doesn't need male attention. She stands out in a society where many unfortunate souls are constantly search for male attention due to not having a good father figure while growing up. They settle for cheap and quick male attention in the form of sexual attention in order to create a false sense of permanent-male-attention, which should have been created by a loving father figure. They rely on the presence of ungodly men whose lower brains are always on cue to restore that false feeling of permanent-male-attention when it inevitably starts to fall apart. For who didn't have a healthy relationship with their earthly father growing up, and it's causing them to sin, I urge you to develop a healthy relationship with your Heavenly Father for the sin to stop. Spend time with Him without getting distracted by anything He created. Just Him. He's such a genius that even His own children forget to spend time with Him, in favour of the things He created. His love and presence is everlasting. Just spend time with Him. The thing that most women don't seem to understand is that dressing immodestly makes it near-impossible for any man to avoid committing adultery with her in his heart. It's never a compliment on her character, it's always an expression of lust, which God wants us to express only in the sanctity of the marital bed because it's such a powerful, pair-bonding force. Less godly men find it more difficult to avoid committing adultery with scantily-clad women in his heart than more godly men. It's part of your duty as a woman- not as a girl, but as a woman, to make it easier for less godly men to become more godly men. Dress modestly, and there'll be more good father figures for the next generation, David

The church is responsible for this. When you are told the law is done away with you become the lawless ones. Grace is given out as a credit card to sin. The messiah came to fulfill the law not to destroy it. You cannot tell the difference of the church or the world. Even the title here on this video is mixing the worlds ideas. This young man does not have the while message… the church becomes friends with the world. Just like trying to take pagan holidays and mix in some Christianity that has confessing Christian’s entertaining satanic rituals. In the last days there will be a form of godliness without power. Just liked described in the ten virgins. Five had prepared the oil for their lamps, five had not enough oil to meet the bridegroom. The love will wax cold. They will become lovers of pleasure and themselves.

Sadly, I don't think this message came across as I expected. We briefly touched on men and spoke about how women dress completely. It is a matter of the heart but a man shouldn't look at me and instantly tell me he knows my heart n relationship with God. He's not God

Amanda, where in this sermon he says that men should judge a womans character by he dress? God will convict you, if you need to change your thinking or your way of dressing. The question is: Do you want to listen to what he has to say?

Why is this sermon directed at women? If certain men are “body snatchers” maybe they need to hear a word about developing morals.

I have grown extremely disappointed in the sermons The Porch puts out. This sermon was clearly aimed towards women. Actually a good portion of your sermons are aimed towards women. More specifically telling women how to act, dress, and speak. Is there a process before you guys record your sermons? Does anyone even look over these? There is so little of Gods word in here. It is filled with opinions, incorrect opinions. Is there an email I can contact at this church because I have several examples from different sermons where you guys are extremely sexist and I would like to bring it to someone’s attention. Thank you.

What determines a sermon is incorrect? You? Are you looking directly at what scriptures say before you claim none of there sermons are based on scripture?

He did say in the beginning that modesty is not exclusive to women and that it applies to men as well. I would as a woman agree that what he is saying does align with Gods word. The standard for how we are all to act and dress as Christians should not be what the world or even feminism pushes forward, but what the Gods word does. I understand how this may be offensive because I used to think the same way and allowed my progressive beliefs to influence my world view more than my faith, but that’s just something to consider. God bless you.

This guy's a deceiver. At 8:10 he says God isn't against those "flashy things" the harlots of that century had to seduce men. Yes actually, God is very much against those worldly things. "Be not conformed to the image of this world but be renewed in your mind" The Bible says.
