@@patrickcrabb6212 Morrowind had porn mods back before Oblivion released, even some of the really weird stuff (Arguably, Morrowind's porn mods were even more out there than Oblivion's ended up being due to the dialogue system letting them skip animating the more niche stuff). But most of the porn migrated to the game with the best graphics once it released, for obvious reasons.

It's worth noting that part of that is the simple fact that Morrowind *is* such an old game. A lot of big mods have been made, refined, and posted, plus there's a lot more of an older audience, ergo more of the mods tend to reflect that.

This one actually kind of hit home. My Mum introduced me to Morrowind way back, I used to sit on her lap as a kid while she played. All these years later she's terminal and is on her last playthrough. When she goes I've intended going to boot up her game and the construction kit and rebuild her character 1 for 1 where her last save is. Normally I watch these vids for a laugh but this one hit home. Morrowind has such a great community y'all.

The bikini armor is genuinely good! There’s so many little pieces like thigh guards and neck pieces and pauldrons and stomach guards and so on. I love the looks you can make and the extra armor it all adds. Feels like morrowind with all the different armor pieces

morrowind mods were made for personal use, many times. they arent polished or very fleshed out most of the time, instead its just what someone wanted in their game, so they added it on nexus for anyone else who feels the same just because it was easy enough to do. from final fantasy advent children mods to straight up someones fanfic, a crackhead community but a warm one

I think part of that is how much simpler Morrowind is to mod. It’s easy to get verbose error messages, it’s easy to build on other folks work, and it’s less crash prone. Morrowind doesn’t expect voiced dialogue, doesn’t require turning “quests” on and off, and the scripting system is pretty easy to learn. You can whip out a nice little quest with an afternoons worth of work, or just delete every Orc from the game for no reason.

The Skyrim mod part is so accurate. The first mod I installed was for Space Marine armor and weapons. Nothing is more satisfying than mowing down a horde of medieval bandits with a bolter and chainsword haha.

If you download this Morrowind mod make sure to use the cleaned up file as there is also a non cleaned up one. Its because its the very first mod of the author (which he/her specifically created to honor his/her mom who introduced him/her to the game) so it was only natural that he/her forgot to clean up the file but the community provided it and now both are downloadable. (Unclean files can lead to conflicts with other mods).

Outside of graphical and ambience mods I didnt really mod Morrowind much. Guess i just liked the world the way it was. Skyrim on the other hand 10 gigs of mods easy.

Same. For Morrowind I could have about 20 graphical (faces, textures and meshes, mostly) and stability mods on top of OpenMW and I'd have a complete game. Skyrim needs hundreds of mods just to be interesting, and that's before the inevitable mods that devolve it into an h-game platform...

Skyrim needs mods to be playable. Which imo if a game needs mods to be good, it isnt a very good game. Vanilla skyrim gets old fast. I dont play morrowind with mods because its perfect as it is to me. The only mods id consider, is the mods where it adds more vegetation. Skyrim, you can do everything worth doing in a couple weeks or less.

Morrowind = QoL improvements mostly Oblivion = Bug fixes and NPC overhauls Skyrim = A veritable buffet of modding. If there's an improvement or additional content you can think of for the game, it *probably* exists in some capacity as a mod.

And just like a buffet the mods that exist the most of only are pretty ok at improving the game. While there's too little mods that actually elevate the game. Seriously why is there only a single mod that reworks how dragon riding works, and why is every combat overhaul mod trying to be dark souls except for very few. But you can get every possible porn mod you can think of for some reason.

You know you could get a couple thousand coins in just seyda (You'll need to travel to caldera and sell it to the scamp in ghorak manor) so you need so basically in the first section when you start the game read the release papers and close out of it then rob everything make sure to drop it and then pick it up they won't count it as a crime now than In the second building make sure to grab the warehouse key outside that second building you should find the warehouse open it and in some boxes/crates you'll find armor moon sugar and skooma If you want to get the most money go to caldera and find the scamp in ghorak manor to get their you need to go to balmora mages guild and inside you'll find the girl who will let you travel to caldera

When I was young, I made a personal mod for Morrowind that added muggers to Balmora. Maybe 3 or 4 of them, with randomized petty loot. I also added a few extra boxes around that I considered their "stashes" also with randomized box petty loot. I just thought it was silly that in all these cities in Morrowind there weren't any random bad guys who wanted your stuff. So naturally since I kept the mod on I was walking around as a total god with level 2 muggers still randomly attacking Nerevar Reborn with Trueflame on his hip. Still, its a good memory. I think the simplicity of the MW construction set meant it was so easy to make mods that tons of people had all sorts of small and cute mods they'd release. The nature of Morrowind as a game that didn't really need fixing also meant you didn't feel like you had to get this or that overhaul. For me, it was more about fleshing the world and game out for what it already was.

I don't know much about coding or anything like that (all I've doon was a shoddy shitpost logan paul dating sim I lost it since it was on a usb) but I think the reason why there is no drastric overhauls is because of the engine limitations by drastic I mean like combat updated physics ragdolling etc

Skyrim currently has 1.6 billion mods and there is a wide variety of mods to choose from. There are many lore-friendly mods that will enhance your Skyrim experience, and if you think/believe this is mostly dominated by erotic or non lore-friendly mods, that's a small self-report...which is cool, I personally appreciate the diversity in the modding scene.

As someone who enjoys mods but hasn't learned to make his own, my one regret is how a lot of my Oblivion mods break over time as we get farther from their last update. A necromancy mod I enjoyed had problems on my new laptop, and I had to uninstall it. An armor mod had its textures break on Windows 7 and newer. My classic modlist feels like it dies one mod at a time as the years go by.
