I'm just drinking my coffe, early in the mourning, and it's raining here in Hercegovina, where the fall says hallo in this time of year. And this song gives it self to me. Nobody near by, just me, my coffe and cigarete, and the galaxy of emotions by this masterpeece.

Mogwai has been one of my most loyal companions over these years, many people have come and gone through my life, but this band was always there for me. It didn't matter if I was sad, lonely, or even joyful, they always had a song for my mood. For me, their music is therapeutic. Their sound has been so helpful through dark times, that I cannot imagine how could I live without them, because they are like one of my best friends. Life's full of ups and downs, and if you're lucky, you'll find people or things that help you enjoy the ups and tolerate the downs. This band is a dear friend of mine, and I feel so grateful that I had the chance to discover them while I was in need of a good friend. Thank you for being there, Mogwai.

Been listening to Mogwai for something like a decade. They're my absolute favourite band. This is one of my favourite three tracks of theirs for sure. Absolute perfection. For anyone who's got no clue what the opening dialogue is all about, it's one of the band members prank calling their manager, telling him they've had a fight, thowing punches n all and they're breaking up LOL can't believe he even bought it. He must've been devastated poor lad.

Life pretty hard most of the time, but music is one thing that takes the burden of existence off your shoulders, just for a little while. For a bit, you aren't here, you are where you were when you first heard this song, or you just feel the pure emotion it gives you. It's fantastic. Reading all these comments, messages to people they miss who will probably never read them, people talking about how this songs like a winter morning, some people saying this song takes them back to the moment they first heard it, it's beautiful. I love seeing people bare a piece of their life here because this music has brought it out in them. And despite the fact that no one's probably gonna read this, I'll do the same. When I was fifteen I had gotten into a relationship with a girl, she was an extremely sweet and kind girl. The thing that this song bring burning to the front of my mind is the feeling of holding hands with her. Locking fingers and walking together on a frosty day. And even though our hands were freezing we never put them back in our pockets. The feeling of it just shines out in this song when I hear it, it's like I'm right back there in that moment. Six years on and I still cherish that memory of holding hands with someone who really cared for me. I hope you are well Charlie. I hope you still listen to Mogwai after all these years and if somehow you read this, you were awesome, I'm sorry I never spoke to you again.

It's those swirling pads at the end that get me, if nostalgia had a sound, that would be it. It reminds me of my first long term relationship, sitting on this mountain with her, with this incredible westward view. The crisp and clear winter sunset smashing out pinks and oranges around the mountains in the distance. That's music for you.

I'm just gonna go, I'm going to head off just now and just try to speak to some people about this" "Well, we've got to do something" "Yeah" "Cause if we don't take care of this then...I don't even want to think about it" "Hello" "Hi, Colin" "Hiya" "It's Martin" "Hi Martin" "I'm sorry to bother you" "It's alright" "But we've got a bit of a sketch going on here" "What? What?" "Well, it's pretty hard to explain" "So tell us. What?" "Right. We were down at Vic's and Stuart and Dominic got into a bit of a row" "Hmm hmm" "And Stuart was getting a bit stroppy with Dominic and it ended up with Dominic punching Stuart and walking out--" "Hmm hmm" "--Saying he's not coming back." "Stuart's saying that he's out and stuff like that" "Right" "Stuart's away as well" "Where's Stuart away to?" "He just phoned his dad and left" "And is John still there?" "No he went away with Stuart for some reason. To try and calm him down or something. It was a full bloody sketch man. I don't know what to do. We've this thing on Tuesday" "Right. Kind of limited to what I can do, right?" "Yeah, but me and Paul are here, totally. We don't know what to do, man. Me and Paul are sitting here and we don't know what to do" "Carry on mixing" "Yeah?" "This sort of stuff happened before, you know" "It's pretty bad" "It's just a fucking sketch" "It's pretty bad" "Erm, right, well, if you could give Stuart a phone. Erm, we can sort something out, we'll just work around" "We'll find out what it's about. I think Dominic's just gone to get wasted" "Uh huh" "Yeah, but I don't know where he went, he just left, just went in the car and went" "Okay, well, I'll speak to Stuart, but then I'll get him to phone Dominic" "Right, okay, Fine, right. Colin, well, sorry you got down with this tonight" "Fine, I'll soon phone you back" "Okay, no problem" "See you's" "Right" "Bye, later" "Bye"

i'm stupid, can someone explain this lyrics to me, please?
@andysandy34655 жыл бұрын
@@mrnprrn this is a fragment from a phone conversation between the band members. Apparently Stuart (lead singer and guitarist) had a little fight with Dominic (bassist) and Martin was calling Colin to ask him how to settle a conflict.
@johnc78015 жыл бұрын
Marina- you're not stupid. You see Dominic punched Stewie in his vagina and left. Stewie ran to his safe space and the other 2 girls never witnessed a real fight, so they cried and called Colin to bother him. Then they put music around it and called it Tracy.
@Eksayle4 жыл бұрын
@@johnc7801 You do realize the phone call was "just a prank bro" to fuck with the band's manager at the time, right? You're hearing Colin Hardie (manager) reacting to a tale that Martin Bulloch (drummer) is spinning for him over the phone. Rumor has it that Colin lost his nerve and even said some shit that they were forbidden to include in the final mix. Makes for an interesting sample. Also please consider that Dominic and Stuart have been permanent fixtures in the band for 20+ years. You think that'd be possible if they were getting into fist-fights over song ideas back in the 90s? Think about it for a minute.
