Yay I was finally recorded in one of these! 40:55 My squad and I were the ones to put that 1st RUS FOB on the NW corner of Ali Air Base to ensure a presence and start the cap. Btw, I really enjoy this server, it never fails to excite and I play it all the time. 10/10 would recommend

Tallil is one of my favorite maps too. If you have a team doing logistics smartly, getting supplies with the helo towards a safe FOB, then relaying supplies further forward with Logis, teams can make some awesome ATGM FOBs to absolutely dominate the enemy vehicles. I've done this multiple times with my squads, dropping a radio and ATGM and one squad member, then moving to drop the next radio/ATGM. Rinse, lather, repeat, until you have a squaddy at every FOB while you do supply runs. *edit* 28:40 ..."from way downtown" 🤣 48:50 you're thinkin Kobayashi Maru

30:44, its also important to point out that the FOB outside of the objective is locking down that entire area so their logis heading into the main FOB don't get ambushed. It also prevents the Aussie from surrounding and flanking the main FOB. Its common to set up a radio to sandwich a objective. This prevents that. Not all off-point FOBs are bad. If you place them randomly, yea it is. But if you strategically locate them, it gives significant map control. Very good play by the Russians

A good team/squad makes the game quite fun, there are times where you find yourself in the middle of some blood flowing moments. Some games, you will lose but if your team puts up a great fight, even a loss will be extremely fun

This is what I mostly miss too. Being picked up by a helo to move to a better point and that nobody wants to build fire bases, especially on this map, using multiple mortars to suppress and some tows. There are way better maps with superb locations for a fire base and still nobody does it.

Is it just me or is it weird that T-72's are eating Abrams APFSDS rounds while one or two T-72 rounds butter through the frontal armor of the Abrams? And is the massive overmatch in US optics (and gun stabilization) not modeled into the game or something? and before anyone hates, just look at US vs Iraqi results, as well as other examples

Iraqi T-72 were monkey models, its not a fair comparison. Although if we are talking about nowadays, the M1A2 Abrams SEPv3 is generally superior to the T-72B3 simply because the latter has some severe limitations(autoloader/sabot length) preventing its upgradability while the Russians also cheaping out on areas they could upgrade(transmission, CITV). But as far as the 90s, the then latest Soviet T-72s were reasonably comparable to the M1A1 Abrams the US were fielding. But the T-72s at the time didn't have thermals yet but it also had ERA and longer range fires thanks to ATGMs. When talking about late 80s and early 90s, only the T-80 had thermals so perhaps a even more comparable platform. Also US, has better thermals but not gun stabilization which is more or less the same with every tank. There's nothing particularly crazy with 2-axis stabilization nowadays, not much to innovate on.

I bet that T72 at 16:46 was crewed with the same asshole SL who tried berate me for not shooting at targets even though he’s driving me into the pipes on Goose Bay. That was the worst armor experience I ever had on PFs1. I forgot the guys name but he was Aggro in staging. Literally told me my 300-400 hrs don’t mean shit to his 1000+ in armor. I played Moi’s armor vid on the mic to shut his ass up. I shoulda let him kick me for not playing the video cause he specifically and then switched teams and hunt his ass down that game. We died and I laughed hard at him while disconnecting and then went to work slightly salty.

If each team gets 2 types of armored vehicles then how did Russia get 3 BTRs because they started with 2 because they lost 1 in the very beginning and lost another to the abrams and then a 3rd fled north...looks like cheating from the Russian side.
