According to the actor who played as the Priest, when they are going to shoot the last scene 'which is the girl apolozing' the director asks almost all of the crew to go outside the venue leaving only the Director, the two actors and camera men, the director instructed the two to just say whatever they want to each other genuinely since they didn't have any proper closure in real life when they broke up. There's no script to be memorized there and all of the lines was adlibs. I think the reason why this hits so hard is because we can feel the pain of these two, they are not acting, they are broadcasting their own life using this music video

I do think she fought that attraction that time, BUT when the rumors started the guy got jealous and the girl got tired of defending herself from his accusations that is why she ended it and just tried to be friends again. - The guy said sorry because he was jealous. He probably did not talk to her and such so he was not there when the rumors piled up on her & it was viscious months really, especially when the other couple had a public breakup as well, talk of the year. I think he was overwelmed with jealousy so i think he was sorry he gave up on their relationship without giving the time to fix it. - the guy forgiving her, probably because after 2 years she still ended up with the guy he got jealous with. - the girl forgiving him, probably because he gave up without a fight. There is like a symbolism in the story. The altar shmbolizes their relationship. When Julia ran away, it means that she was the first person who left the relationship. (Reason stated during their convo) At the middle part, the video shows Josh waiting at the altar. It means he did wait Julia to comeback. Hoping that she still love him and that it may fix their relationship. When Julia cameback to the altar, It shows that she finally realized what she did was wrong. She was asking Josh for forgiveness and that she hopes that their relationship will be fix again. Back story: Josh and Julia were actually reel to real couple (aka Joshlia). They have been together for more than 3 years. Everyone loved them for their great chemistry but when Julia got casted in a movie with a different leading man (Gerald Anderson) everything went 180° and people started hating Julia. Apparently, Gerald and Julia developed romantic feelings for each other while they were still both in a relationship with Bea Alonzo and Josh, respectively. When josh says that he didn't even got to protect her, he was referring to that time when Julia got bullied by people on social media for allegedly ruining Gerald and Bea's relationship and not giving Josh closure. These all happened over a year ago. So this is essentially the closure people have been wanting Joshlia to have.

just some fact here: so their break up was very controversial. Even though they did broke up in a healthy way and in good terms, bunch of rumours pop off the reason of why they broke up, the worst one is third party, it even involved some actors.
