Yes! People honestly don't talk about that sequence enough. Every time Tanjiro cuts himself to wake up is quick but jarring and suspenseful. We don't know how many times he'll have to do it. It all builds up to that one pivotal moment where he sets his blade on his neck in reality, only for the cycle to be abruptly ended, and everything is calm again. The voice acting and sound design impeccable as always

That’s because they dedicate a whole movie to him. Except with various flashbacks and to show the power gap between him and the rest of the characters. There was no character development nor buildup to the moment of his death. Bad guy just came out of nowhere and boom he fought his hardest and dies cause of plot. For avid anime viewers this is pretty surface level when it comes to pulling heartstrings, I pretty much don’t feel it because of generic it is.

Same, cuz that was a big criticism I used to have of the show was that he really just went about his life with Nezuko with zero care or reflection at all on his family

I'd actually argue that throughout the first season, apart from the first few episodes that showcase the traumatic events that occur, Tanjiro is too occupied on finding Nezuko's cure and doing everything in his power to improve for him and his sister's sake. There isn't any time for reflection. This movie, thanks to the lesser 7 demon, has enabled Tanjiro to have a fully fleshed out and unknowing alternate reality in his dream that has given him an opportunity of remembrance and past incomplete promises (revenge for his family and sister). In spite of this small moment where Tanjiro can relive the life he had before becoming a demon slayer at all with his family, I'm sure he was able to understand something in this dream that was meaningful, apart from it being a fake, yet perfect false reality.

My dine in cinema near me is airing it as one of its premiere movies rn. Demon slayer literally took up like the whole right side of the theatre. Amazing!

Yeah it was enjoyable!!! I was really excited to see and enjoy an anime in a move theater, its been so long since Id been in a movie theater that just the concept of watching this movie together with other people seemed really sweet

@@strikurr7861 Dance of the fire god is like the little brother of Sun Breathing, it’s close to sun breathing but not quite it. Just read the manga or wait until it’s animated, Tanjiro does learn about sun breathing and he becomes insane.

Actually , tbh the manga was kinda rushed even with close to 200 chapters . Especially the ending . I really wouldn't mind a few good fillers with a few more training arcs .

It was the opposite for me. I expected more people but there wasn't that many. Granted, it was noon. I guess a lot of people were still at work.

I went on a saturday and intentionally picked a smaller theater so that no one would be outwardly cheering or going wild. Only one other group in the theater and it was a superb experience.

Our screening that we went to didn't have a lot of people luckily. Everyone was pretty respectful noise wise. Everyone pretty much laughed at the same time at a handful of scenes, it was a pretty nice experience. Super glad I got the opportunity to see it in theater

Their whole charm was most of the 'sakuga' Idk how to say that in english, are made with cg, the 2d animation was actually cg and it considered as 2.5D if I'm not mistaken While the whole monster thingy and train were really done in 3D

It still looked gross.. I also didn't like the Konosuba movie because of that ugly Snake Woman.. everything else was "FIRE" though! Rengoku

@@TairaEldritch i mean there were 3 times during season 1 that they clearly used cg, and to a good extent. 1 during the zenitsu shit, 2 during ep 19 as u all know, 3 during ep 26 where they went through that weird ass mansion that flipped. If you look at the manga panels for it (source material) it's literally like 1 page. The cg wasn't bad it was above average. Tho it is hard to blend 3d animation perfectly in 2d which is why it's uncanney. It's not necessarily bad, but just slightly under perfect which makes it feel off.
