In cases like this, you basically sign a contract that states that you accept the tiny amount of money or other things they give you as a sufficient compensation and therefore you will not sue them... But at the same time, I don't really know how american law system works, so there may be a way out, but from what I've heard, it ain't worth it

Doesn't saying he won't finish the game create even more issues for Logan? People could say they supported the project because Logan promised to finish it multiple times. No, it won't damage him. Backing these projects is usually considered a speculative investment in the developer. You aren't purchasing a copy of the game. The game is the return on investment. That's why scamming is endemic in the game development scene. Crypto made it worse. Every crypto game is, at best, a ponzi scheme.

If you DO apply for his buyback where he's only gonna buy back basic NFTs , no hybrids or currency, then yes, by applying to that you accept this as sufficient compensation and lose your legal rights to sue him. If you DON'T apply, you can still sue him for all the money you've lost because of this project gone wrong.

That wouldn't make him a good guy, but at least he then he keeps his promise of paying them back for what they lost on false promises. There is, however, nothing he can do to make me trust him, but those are things that can stop people from actively hating him. People where willing to give him a second chance because he seemed to have grown since his earlier youtube controversies, but this has shown that he yet again hasn't. He isn’t finishing the game… you know, a PRIMARY REASON people supported the project to begin with (not even accounting for the investment vehicle angle); and something he said that would he completed MANY TIMES OVER. The fact is, he should be giving at the MINIMUM an 80% refund; but really should be closer to 110% (as a consolation and good will act of faith). It wouldn’t be much to him financially but would buy him a lot of good will. No chance that happens though, lol.

"nefarious trading behind our backs" is probably referring to the fact that they minted the coin months in advance silently so that they could buy up as much of the coin as they could before publicly releasing it. but somebody got the information and leaked it and bought up millions of dollars worth of their coins before they could come in and do the rug pull themselves. They were upset that somebody scammed them before they could scam their viewers out of millions of dollars.

I remember his original buyback plan he said he will pay with eth and it was worth like 1/5 of the value of when the victims bought it. So he won't even have to pay the full amount of what the victims lost. He still scammed his audience and this doesn't change that. How many people played the game? 70-50% of your initial investment is the best one could hope for in a class action with the likely attorney commision. It will probably be less as they won't hold him accountable for all deposits

At least he is refunding the minimum. He has never been a good person, even after this he won't be a good person. He is always scum. Even with the refund which yeah, you get a part of your money back, but one its only a part of what you gave to him and two you have to follow a clause that you can't sue the person who scammed you to begin with. Coward. He could have payed all the victims back their full amount from all the views he gets and the big money contract WWE more then likely pays him. Say he screwed up and take admission for his crime. At the least. And even then he wouldn't be a good guy. He'd just be a piece of crap who at least fessed up to his horribly messed up actions.

The timing of this is wacky. I don't necessarily believe it was Charlie that persuaded him to do this, but I also think it's just funny Charlie talked about it and now Logan's like "Aight, fine". Prolly convenience. Also i feel like this is some deja vu for me, I thought this refund application thing was already posted and people were just as annoyed at the possibitlity of not applying before the deadline n all that?

If you place your trust and money into Logan Paul, you deserve to lose all your money. This was a dude who exploited a suic* victim for views, wtf did everyone expect. The victims are just as stupid as logan, the "victims" deserve to lose their money, and logan deserves to be prosecuted.
