Karen responds to a subscribers comment around how to moisturize hair without manipulating it. How to moisturize your natural hair is contingent upon the style. Protective styles can be moisturized by spraying a liquid moisturizer or leave in conditioner on the hair. Styles such as twist outs require manipulation to reset the hair.

Your channel is so refreshing! I'm so tired of seeing all these different personalities popping up in my feed, everyone claims to be experts on natural hair, everyone has tutorials and oil, moisture products. It's so exhausting. I find you Karen to be the most professional, knowledgeable, to the point, sweet, and most real. Please keep doing what you're doing!!! @KarenofCurlHouse Thank you!!! I was recently frustrated trying to find a good pre-shampoo product after I saw your video on pre-shampoo. I ran into African Pride then of course when I googled, a gazillion more products came up. 😫Lol. I use all of your products but you don't have a pre-shampoo yet. Could you please give a review of the best one you'd use that's out ?

Thank you so much Karen that was a great response to my question I'm flattered to be mentioned by name in your video I'm going to save it forever but your answer was really insightful I'm at an awkward stage right now and mostly wear twists and just weren't sure how to moisturize them without constantly retwisting them your video gave me a great ideas and I thank you keep doing what you do I love your hair by the way I'm starting to gray myself so I would love to see more videos on how to handle gray hair thanks

You are very welcome Tracy! It is my desire that you and all women/men understand how to care for their natural hair so that you can fall in love in your hair if you don't already. Its hard to love something you don't understand. 🤷🏾‍♀️ And I love questions! It gives me ideas for content so keep them coming! I have a few videos up already about gray hair -- but be on the lookout -- more to come! And gray hair -- that is a whole other level of education for caring for it! LOL!

I’m confuse how do I know what my moisture cycle is? How do I even know if my hair is dry or not? I touch it I don’t feel any crunch but when you touch it anyways you can just hear the hairs together because it’s so close to the ears. So how do I know what my moisture cycle is?

Great tips. Here lately I have been wearing wash and gos; after a few days, I may just spray/ mist with water without manipulating hair.

Yes. Me too! You know wash n gos in my favorite! Just tried mousse for the first time for a wash n go (video coming soon). But yes, I too have to give my hair a mist as well, and I love for the steam in the shower it hydrate my hair as well.

I can't get multiple say hair from my wash n gos and I am suffering with dry hair. This video is very helpful!

How about if you have two French braids … shall I just mist with light leave in as well?

Hey Slay! Yes! Even in two french braids you can still mist your hair. Keep in mind that leave in conditioners are water based so too much moisture can cause frizz so consider this which will help to determine to frequency at which you moisturize. Hope this makes sense...

Karen can your drop be used on eyebrows.? I lost my eyebrows do to chemo 7 yrs ago . My hair and eyelashes slowly come back , my eyebrows not so much. Thank you in advance

Hi Denise! I don't recommend them for the brows because of the proximity to the eyes. You certainly don't want to get them in your eyes.

@@KarenofCurlHouse every 2 days but I don't wear them out I take them down only to moisturize. Might wear them down once week probably the day before wash day I wash once a week

so im 7 months into my loc journey & I’ve got my hair in an style my daily routine is misting my hair & I’ll oil my scalp every other day for 2-3 days , is that okay to retain length ? & also is my routine considered low manipulation ?

Hi Bestdress! Do you have sister or traditional locs? Your locs are still maturing so you want to be mindful to not put too much moisturizer in your hair -- it can cause them to slip -- particularly sisterlocs. What are you misting your hair with? Water based product? If you have traditional locs then giving your hair a daily mist with a light conditioning spray or moisturizer is fine. Sisiterlocs -- I would speak to your loctician if so. Also, is your scalp dry and/or itchy? You mentioned that you oil it regularly.

Hello there! Yes. You can do a gentle mist with leave-in a well.
