Mojo® Pittosporum - Dwarf Fragrant Variegated Flowering - In this video I go over Mojo® Pittosporum from the Southern Living Plant Collection. It is a low growing variegated evergreen shrub for part shade or shade conditions. This is a great choice to get a pop of color on a foundation.

I shot this video last October in Alabama. This is a really great looking plant. It does need to be mounded up a bit when it is planted, because it doesn't like to stay wet. Thanks for watching.

I saw this plant at Home Depot (in Atlanta suburbs) today, but didn’t know anything about it. Now I do 🙂. I bought a dwarf crepe myrtle because I was impressed with the one you had at your last house.

I planted one about a month ago next to some hellebores and ferns and hostas. It's the cutest little shrub I have ever seen! (Fat dumb luck that I planted it at the right time...😂🤣)

Are you familiar with Cream de Mint Pittosporum from Monrovia? It seems very similar to Mojo but the plant tags from Monrovia list it as partial to full sun in zone 8-11. Also slightly smaller at 30" tall instead of 36" for Mojo. I have a hard time believing that the Cream de Mint variety is a full sun plant considering that other Pittosporum tend to be part shade plants, especially where I am in zone 8. Some garden centers here in the Dallas area actually stock both varieties but they look almost identical to me.

They are very similar. It wouldn't like full sun in Dallas

Sounds like a great plant! I know you mentioned/suggested Zones 7-10, do you think it would make it in Zone 6 and to be more specific, Central Ohio?

Probably not, but it could be a container plant that you protect in the winter

I bought 3 mojo's. Have not planted yet. But they are losing leaves and leaves turning brown. We had temps 27 degrees. They are suppose to be cold hardy. Are they dying? Don't know whether to go on and plant them. I live west of Atlanta. Any advice would be appreciated.

Jim I garden in Raleigh. I recently saw a dwarf Pittosporum, but not variegated, in a planting at the Gregg Museum garden. I love the way it stays low. In that planting they have it on low berms so the plant's width effectively tumbles downhill acting as an erosion holding feature. It's exactly what I need. I've seen the Mojo sourced at Pender nursery, but can't for the life of me find a source for the non-variegated variety I saw at the Gregg Museum. Do you know a source?
