@@ChessmindedThinkerwhat's genes got to do with it? If anything it shows the opposite to what you are saying - the monster that Mike was, both as a teen and after he became champ was almost certainly much more a product of his environment (going from abject poverty with an alcoholic mother - and himself abusing alcohol and other drugs from a young age, then going almost straight from that to being champion of the world, losing his father figure in the midst of that and being entirely surrounded by yes men) than his genetic makeup. The fact that he was able to break free of those destructive cycles speaks much louder about his true character IMO.

Cus passed down some of the greatest lessons to Mike since he was a pup to mould a champion. If anyone can help Francis to have a chance, it’s Mike who also has ferocious power like Francis. The important thing is breaking down the opportunities Francis would likely have against Fury, then training for those using what Francis already possesses. The illusive movements, the fundamentals, etc. are gonna take a very long time but for this fight it’s gonna be about how to adjust I.e footwork, movements, feints, combos with what Francis already has to land that knockout blow.

If Francis can put some of the Tyson peekaboo/hard counter punch style to work, then Fury is going to have problems. The growth of the most ferocious fighter human to ever grace our era has been a beautiful thing. He went from a beast off his leash, to a contained beast, and now, a controlled beast. Full circle, seeing him coach and have all the patience and understanding for another fighter to teach them

Mike has made himself to be not only a great boxer, philosopher, and now trainer. If he can instill the hunger and skill he acquired from Cus, which Im sure he can if Francis takes it everything has became full circle. Good job Champ

This is giving Mike Tyson so much peace! When ask what he'll ask Coach Cus, he said "how did I do?" Now he can finally FEEL it come full circle! He's spitting off Cus and his own version of his understanding!! Legendary!!

This is my favorite thing to happen in combat sports since I started watching GSP before he became UFC champ. Mike Tyson, coaching humble and terrifying Francis against the Tyson Fury, the Heavy Weight Champ, who is named after Mike Tyson. It's a story book tale.

I hope Francis develops considerably under Mike's guidance. Mike had that explosiveness and insane speed that put him leagues ahead ofeven the big guys. Francis needs that speed and precision to go along with his unmatched power. No matter the result, I'll be rooting big time for Ngannou.
@ezradaiquiri1131110 ай бұрын
Definitely rooting for ngannou. From the mud pits of africa to being homeless and imprisoned in eroupe, Francis should have never made it to the ufc for how little time he trained and how late in life he learned. Now, after being persecuted by a multimillion dollar company which is backed by trillionaire monopolies, he has won his freedom again and is looking to achieve the impossible again by boxing one of the biggest and most dangerous heavyweight boxers of all time while holding an active mma contract deal. Win or loose, I'm rooting for ngannou. What a story.
