As for the comment at the beginning of the video, we all have to wade through the bad stuff from time to time, it makes us appreciate the good things in life more. Wow. It's mazing that it wasn't trashed and torn up. Did you find a build sheet under or behind the back seat? It's unusual for a '65 Fury I to have 2 tone paint and factory A/C. Did anyone else notice there are no backup lights? They were optional on "lower priced" Furies until I believe 1966. Great clean up job.

Great job, guys! owned a detail/stereo shop back in the 80s and 80s. The equipment has progressed, but the method is the same. Funny, that! BTW, the accelerator pedal is secured by two pods [actually two little screw in to the floor/pop in to the pedal devices - you'd have to see one to get it] at the lower end of the pedal. It just pops off of those pods to gain access to the carpet underneath the pedal; and its protective rubber sheath [designed to keep ladies high heels from rubbing through the carpet]. A little tidbit for the next car of that era, without a suspended pedal, you run across. Most all manufacturers used the same method of securing the pedals, and the pods acted like fulcrums, on which the pedal pivots. Way too much trivia, but there you have it, anyhow. BTW, a little Mother's will make those wheel covers look brand new! They are, after all, aluminum. That Plymouth probably wasn't that clean and protected when it was new. Nice work!

I bought a '76 Plymouth Valiant V8 last summer for an older lady on the Tulalip Reservation. All in, due to my buy/sell/swap/trade mentality- I was out about $150 after tags, title & tax for the car. 88K miles on it, solid, no rot. Towed it out, needed brakes & the heater core was leaking. The heater core ran me about $55, converted it to a clutch fan, HD radiator. Swapped the brakes over to pin-style calipers on 12" rotors, with a 1 1/8" sway bar. Had to use a set of old cop car wheels with some of the factory stainless lug nuts, used Bridgestone 205/60 15's on it. Put a leather-wrapped steering wheel from a Ramcharger (yes, factory) on it that actually doesn't look odd. Except for the heater core, tires & some small parts, I already owned the parts. Have a lot more stuff to throw at it, including the Formula S/A38 suspension & steering, a 4-speed OD manual conversion, a 340 small block, electric trunk release, other odds & ends it will make a fun vintage sedan to bomb around in with my Australian Cattle Dog. Even now, that car's ability to stop & turn has shocked some folks

My mother had a 1967 Fury 1 that she bought in about 1975 or so. It had a 318 and a torqueflite. It had rubber floor mats and no chrome. I think the car had about 50K on it and it ran fine until she sold it with about 200K on it. I was changing points and plugs on it once, it was after the car had over 125K, my brother and I had changed them ever since she bought it. I moved one of the heater hoses and it tore in two. I could tell it was an original. She had us change the oil regularly and do routine maintenance but the car never gave any trouble. I think I replaced the alternator once and my brother may have replaced some other small item or another but it was just a trouble free, simple and easy to maintain automobile. Her car never spent a night in a garage and it had dog dish hub caps and was not a two tone. She drove gravel and dirt roads for her work a lot.

Plymouth Fury I was the entry level full sized Plymouth. In Canada the model was called Savoy for the last time. Base engine was a 225 slant 6 with a three speed manual with column shift. The 3 speed TorqueFlyte automatic was optional with all engines. Optional engines were the 273, 318 Poly, 383 in 2 or 4bbl form, and likely a 440. Most Fury I cars were Police Pursuit or Taxi specials. This sedan is a beautiful and rare example. Notice the lack of reverse lamps. They were an optional extra and mounted on the trunk lid beside the brake lights. Fury I was 2 or 4 door sedan as well as a 2 row station wagon. This is a rare example. Air conditioning was an expensive option back in 65. It would have been more than 10% of the base price. The driver's side remote control mirror was another option as were the full wheel colours.

Great job on the car and the video. The focus was on bringing back this jewel from back in the day. Hope the owner gets the motor right so this old girl gets to cruise again. You got a new subscriber too.

Anyone going through a rough time right now, it gets better. It may take an annoying and frustrating amount of time to get there, but when it does you'll come out stronger :) just ride out the rollercoaster and you'll do well. I've been homeless twice and have chronic health issues that I don't have diagnoses for yet, but through all the craziness I've been in a much better place after each low point.

Magnifique voiture, elle est encore dans un très belle état. L’intérieur est d’origine ? Super boulot de remise en état. Les gens ne se rendent pas compte de se qu’il possède dans leur grange. 👍👍👍👍

Curiously satisfying to witness a thorough job of detailing done on a fine old survivor Plymouth Fury I. I didn't have to do it myself but certainly would have been willing. This old can is remarkably fresh, maybe one of the best basic Furys left in the world ! Thanks for the vid. Subscribed with pleasure and hoping to see more in the near future. Namaste.

Love your videos! I’ve been hooked since watching the 1964 black Mercedes 190 get a fresh life. Everyone stay positive. God orders our steps, so there is nothing to fear. There is nothing like watching these cars get a second life. The same goes for us! 🥳🥳🥳

I love watching old cars like this get "restored". Unfortunately some cars like this don't get the TLC they deserve. You guys should totally do some more before and afters. It kind of reminds me of those people that have a barber shop that take people from off the street who are homeless and clean them up. This is way better than watching Pimp My Ride I don't even think that show is on anymore. Also that red roof, as well as the interior, is just so outstanding.

OK I just came across your channel yesterday and I’m so fing hooked so many amazing videos. I’ve been dying for about two years to find a beautiful barn fine car from the 50s or 60s. I totally want one of those big Honker and the bigger the better. I’ve noticed you’re never did a hearse and that’s my dream car. Wink wink.
