Little jealous. I’ve got straps, belts, and sustainment pouches in woodland for modifying my woodland Alice Pack. The odds and ends pouches are pretty obtainable, but the rucksack and frame are unicorns. As far as the grenade pouches go . . . A Vortex laser rangefinder fits, but the dust intrusion was bad, so no. I crammed a baclava into one. I also was able to fit a medium sized headlamp in one of the pouches. Best use by far I’ve found is the pouch holds precisely two cans of Copenhagen. Moving on to the waist pack, I used to believe the waist pack fits precisely one poncho liner until another KZfaq channel fit the entire Ranger Roll in one. Nice job gathering the whole kit in woodland.

Thanks William. Looks like your putting a good working setup together with the ALICE medium. Woodland is getting very difficult to find in excellent to new condition. I'm still looking for good buys. Two cans of Copenhagen, nothing more to say LOL

I was in the Army for 6 years, the newer (at the time) ACU (urban digital) had almost the exact same setup as this one. Being out for a few years now, I missed having a rucksack and bought all the parts to a woodland one, completely forgetting how to assemble it, and Im having a good time putting it together while watching. Thank you for this

I understand civilian companies try their best to make good bags but they need to make sure they can handle the heat of good ruffness.

Thanks brap. I do understand what you mean. Almost all the videos are old, blurry, out of focus and improperly explained. This is why I done this video. I'm glad you like it. Cheers!

Awesome project, looks really fiddly though. I like the quick release, we have ice to cross here too.

Tim, I do know what you mean by fiddly, but, the worst part is over for now. Big hands and fingers don't work well in confined spaces. 😂

Thanks for the video. I saw one of these frames in a surplus store and was tempted to buy it. But it seems like you need to have specific parts to make use of it.

There is a milsurp store that sells near complete ones minus the waist belt, but those are easy enough to find on Ebay

@@brapgabslab7336 The problem that I faced a lot was, stock was full, used and they don't pick, you get what they grab and some surplus don't ship outside of the US. I wanted unissued or AA plus as best as I can get. It did take me a while to gather up everything, but, I got exactly what I wanted. Now ebay has new unissued Main Packs NSN8465-01-465-2289 for $45 US but they want $23 US for shipping with no straps. I am satisfied with the items that I did receive. Thanks for dropping by brap.

Can you do a video on how the 3-day pack attaches to the ruck, not the ruck frame but the ruck itself to basically have two bags attached.

Can someone tell me if tail straps are also called attachment straps? Learning about the Molle II system. The reason I asked was I just purchased the shoulder straps, said it was in great shape, minus tail straps.
@danielcharbonneau222
@danielcharbonneau222 Жыл бұрын
Are you thinking of this strap. which is at times called the QUICK RELEASE MALE BUCKLE FOR SHOULDER STRAPS. These straps attach the shoulder straps to the bottom of the frame.

@@danielcharbonneau222 That could be it, I just ordered some attachment straps. It appears that's what is missing on the shoulder strap configuration I ordered.

ebay. But be patient, wait and you'll get new for a very low cost. So far I've bought 5 complete sets and paid a low cost for each one. Each item was bought separately. Thanks for dropping by.
