It's great to see her on a program like this promoting her book. She is the absolute best at making cooking videos that are relaxed, beautifully made and everything is easy to learn. Certainly a great personality and a very smart and beautiful woman. She has so much going for her that if she had a better dresser, every man (and woman) in the world would fall for her. It could also be just me having absolute backwards taste in clothes, so take it with a grain of salt, ... or lots of salt like Molly's cooking.

Maybe just anorexic. My cousin used to proclaim that she hated delicious foods, or was allergic to most foods. And when forced to eat like a sandwich or something it would almost always end up on the floor “accidentally “ oops I dropped my food on the floor again so I can’t eat lunch.

Why doesn't she just say that her dislike of chocolate is a genetic thing, like how some people hate cilantro. The science of why it tastes bad to her is well understood. Educating people might reduce the number of ignorant and hateful comments.

A bunch are saying things like ''I can't trust a cook that doesn't like chocolate", or 'she must be ignorant of good chocolate' or whatever. And 'weird' for a cook? Chocolate isn't a fundamental ingredient in cooking - how many non-dessert dishes use chocolate in them?

I still think it is odd to not like chocolate, especially for a cook, as you generally learn to appreciate most things in that profession. On the whole of things, it barely matters though, I still like Molly and her work a lot.

Surprised they would have her on the show in anything but a cooking segment. There are much more interesting chefs who I’ve never seen doing a straightforward couch interview on a major talk show like this, even when they’re promoting a new book. Molly is cute but she’s at her best when wielding her knives and talking us through her recipes and using insane amounts of salt.

WTF? Baking is a form of cooking. Some can cook only limited things, others can cook a diversity of things. Many cooks can't bake at all, and most bakers are at least competent general cooks. And some people are ignorant haters.

A few things here... (1) A chef, who is not a pastry chef, is fine with hating chocolate. Amiel Stanek is lactose intolerant, remember? (2) What is with Americans and cold milk with meals? (3) In some countries the inmate is told about their execution maybe two hours ahead so there is no last meal. Sounds better to me.

She doesn't like chocolate because of genetics, similar to how some people can't eat cilantro. It's a hypersensitivity to a chemical in chocolate, and pretty common in 'super tasters'. And, as an American, I have never once had cold milk with any meal other than breakfast or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Water, juice, beer or wine.
