Neither the operator nor the victim were being very helpful in that situation. The operator DID repeatedly try to get information that it took asking the same question three or four times before they got an answer. They should still 100% be fired, but they weren't ENTIRELY at fault.

i think she worded it that way bc the daughter wouldn't have killed anyone if the mother didn't put her in such a position. the daughter didn't seem like a violent person, this just seemed like she felt like her mom backed her into a corner & she did what she felt she had to do to get him out of their lives without totally ruining their careers. obviously there's no excuse at all for murder but the context of the daughter being involved is solely at fault of her mother.

My grandma passed away, back in february. Me and her used to listen to ur podcasts while driving home from places. She loved listening to you, as do I. i haven’t had the heart to watch or listen to you since then.. but tonight i’m going to listen for her. I just wanted to come on here and thank you for being a part of her memory and giving me another piece of her when i feel as if im empty. She was my best friend, but most of all she was a mother to me. Your voice brings me comfort in this time, because i will close my eyes and it will take me back to sitting in her car after work, one of my siblings activities, or just a long drive, knowing she is next to me.

exactly!!! i have been watching her for a while and don’t remember a case where she’s talked about how devout other religions are. That and paired with the thumbnail picture, it just seems like she’s trying to hard to paint a certain picture and get a certain audience. Sometimes Operators need to sound entirely too calm because they are trying to calm the person down that they are talking to. He asks questions to try and figure out where he is and he is too freaked out to completely answer them. A lot of times they sound super calm but are working like crazy in the background to try and help

@@feer3494 sorry, I should've corrected myself. Yes, you're right, not all Muslims are hijabis. I was Muslim myself, and my family still follows Islam. We don't typically wear hijabs everywhere outside the mosque unless necessary. However, I think that most of the content the ladies filmed were based on their religion, by the sounds of it. They might've not been super religious themselves, but it sounds as if a lot of content they filmed were related to Islam, hense what people might know them most for. FYI, I am an ex Muslim. Although I know I don't dictate what you find offensive or not, these were my 2¢. Didn't mean to come off rude or anything.

⁠⁠@@snowshower4415hi I followed May for a few years, she NEVER posted about religion- just fashion, makeup and TikTok dances. The only time they wore the hijab was in a vlog to Turkey where they visited the Blue Mosque (a tourist attraction where everyone of all beliefs wear one when entering). Hope that clears up why people are not happy bout the choice of thumbnail.

am i the only one who thinks the mom is terrible??? like obviously i totally get that he was threatening her but he IS a teenager and as a teenager you are so impressionable and susceptible to attachments. she was a much older and should have been much more mature about this situation in my opinion..i mean she tried to kill her TEENAGE AFFAIR for ruining the reputation that she ruined herself by engaging with this young man. this obviously is early opinions and i will prolly tweak this after listening a few more times (maybe even delete if i’m way off)
