Having discovered him pretty early, like almost everyone at that time, my first Dimash experience was through that song. S.O.S was composed by 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 and lyrics were written by 𝗟𝘂𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻. It was initially presented in the rock opera ‘Starmania’ (1978) by the French singer-song writer 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲. However, the one who totally brought the song deep into the hearts of the French people was…

𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗻, αn incredibly talented Kazakh figure skater, Olympic bronze medalist and one of Dimash's dearest friends, who also lost his life too early (at the age of 25), after being caught in a fight with 2 robbers.
Both Grégory and Denis, despite the fact that their short path in life was far from covered with roses, they have shined as great inspiring figures.
Dimash has been performing S.O.S in numerous occasions since young age. But it was his performance in the Chinese competition 'I am a Singer 2017' that totally skyrocketed his career overnight and turned S.O.S to 'the inevitable way of discovering Dimash' for more than 2 years! Since that iconic performance, Dimash more than once chose to sing S.O.S as a tribute, not only to Grégory but also to various legends of the past, while he also dedicated this song especially to Denis in 2 of his solo concerts.
