I had no money when my kids were little but we’d walk in the park and collect flowers and leaves etc press them and make pictures for friends and family. I made salt dough and coloured it as a kind of playdoh. We baked a lot. I’d make blanket forts and we’d have snacks.

If you want things to do with the family, go to a pottery store that you can paint your own things. My son and I did it we had fun.

Angel, do they have farms that you can visit over there in Chicago land.? Have the kids got up close to or smelled a farm? You don't even have a dog, they could watch horses if you have somewhere near you. There should be someplace like that. I know they have them in Europe for the city kids.
