You’ve inspired me so much for my future garden here in North Western Oregon! I’m in a very similar climate (zone8), and just absolutely love your garden updates 🥰 And a hello to your runner ducks!

Just discovered your channel and wanted to thank you both for such lovely and relaxing videos. I am autistic myself and your content has really helped, and continues to help, during a difficult time, so I look forward to more videos. 🙂 Totally in love with the ducks btw. 💖

You should add annual flowers! I love to use them bc they're so much quicker grower and cheaper. I do have perennial flowers too but most of the are really young so they don't flower or don't flower that much yet! But I can add those annual plants too and make my garden pop even though my perennial plants are still growing. And if I have space where I need something I just add annual flower seeds there and they make it come alive!

Hello from Oklahoma! Your garden is lovely. I have enjoyed watching the seasonal changes. Your hard work has inspired me to start expanding my own backyard garden.

Not sure if you can get the "picture this" app in the UK. Just take a pic and it will tell you what you have. Very handy to have when you inherit a garden.

Forget me nots have self seeded here, particularly on dry gravelly ground. In Spring looks like a blue haze. I am encouraging them.

You should get some Red campion seeds, they have a lovely pink, yes pink, don't know who named them red campion. They produce loads of seed and will appear everywhere in the garden.. I could send you some if you cant get them. Every seed head has loads of seeds. Bees etc love them. So good for pollinators. Love your garden and you're wearing another lovely dress.

I like the natural look of your garden and am wondering if you are in a rural area or more suburban setting? Here in America we live in acres of the Piney Woods which of course has its particular challenges. 🌿

I think your garden is so lovely. I found out you can scatter seeds for poppies, larkspur, and bachelor button in Fall or winter ( i scattered them on the snow! ), They flowered after the bulbs, and before the perennials, so were a good, inexpensie fill in.

What a lovely tour, thank you both! Funny you should say that about your dahlias prospering in the shade. Because of refurb work, I've had to reposition my dahlias in pots under the overhang of our garden office, against the normal full sun advice. Weirdly, like yours, they are looking so much better for not being blasted by the sun. Don't know what that's about. Fabulous planting, and I do like the more low-key Summer look, especially the lamb's ears - must get some of those going here, I love the furry grey leaves. Now that I've seen your Generous Gardener I'm definitely going with that one up my grape arbour - love the open shape to entice the bees.

Thank you sally 😊 that’s interesting your dahlias are the same with the shade now you’ve moved them. The Generous Gardener is lovely isn’t it. Can’t get enough of DA roses
