Welcome to Episode 14 of Monday Gunday, a series of gun/gear reviews by the team here at Tier 1 Concealed. We will be reviewing new and popular guns twice a month and scoring them according to our 10-category scoring system, worth a total of 100 points (10 points each). We will score:

We will also perform some common shooting standards with each gun, such as the Bill Drill at 7 yards, a 3-reload-3 at 7 yards, and a 10 yard B8 test.

Grip is 9/10. Feels fantastic. Cool factor is 10/10 as it’s not something everyone has.

The non-tilt barrel operation sounds like it has a similar impact on the shootabily as the rotating non-tilt barrel of the Beretta PX4 full size and compact. The PX4 is an under-appreciated great pistol, IMO. How do you think these two guns compare. Great video!

Yeah there's that and Bobitz in some new stuff ..shot them all its just different not less ..works differently is all but maybe can be flatter shooting ..I get flatter shooting with Grand powers rotating not as much with px4 ..so depends .. Think it could help some ppl more

I had my original Type B cut for a 407k and it fits flush with width of the side and dot doesn’t leave the window when I have a proper grip. I still think the gen 1 had better value coming with 4 mags and a really sweet range bag

Archons warranty is crap! My side developed a crack after 6k rounds archon said they would warranty it after many emails just trying to reach them. It’s been a year and I still don’t have a working gun.

I was a big fan of the type B gen 1 until it started to break down. striker severed, firing pin issues, and the aftermarket support was nil. hope that changes with this version, liked how it shot.

What was the round count when that started to happen?

around 2k things started to unravel. SAI was the only option for warranty work and turnaround time for a simple part replacement was about 6 months which was a tad extreme imo. I have heard this will not be an issue with the gen2 suppliers@@seandurns110

Striker and firing pin are the same thing, the sear was common to break on the gen1 and they claim they beefed that up.

will you guys be adding holsters for the Springfield echelon and the option for the holosun PID as a light. its a newer gun and I want to get one but I don't see it as an option on your site

Unfortunately we don't make anything specifically for that at the moment, however, if you have a railed version you can throw a weapon light on there and use the MSP holster.

Last question, Can a mag carrier (holster)be attached to the MSP ?

I thought it was supposed to come with 4 mags?? So the vendor selling them are taking the extra mags??

Yeah just concerned cause even the manufacturers video shows that it comes with two grip extensions and the 4 mags. I’m about to purchase the gen 2 rmr cut with comp and I’m worried it’s not going to come with what the Archon videos say they’re supposed to. 🤔 I also noticed people are getting them with only the one grip extension as well

I shot and had the original but in 2024 you have to be high to spend 1k when there's lots striker guns at 4-600$ ..like million that will fit your style and even now DS 2011 are under 800$ just saw a mac2011 with the works at 899$ not to mention there stripped versions are 650 ..I just dont see the value in today's gun world
