Honestly wish I could find a company to take my 3 year old with so we could do expedite! We currently are LP and have her on, but man we would love the bigger sleeper 😅😅😅😅 pretty good month yall!

Well I just lost my job today and now i am kind of interested in possibly getting in this field i don't have a cdl, but what is the first thing i should do?

Get a CDL. For this job you need a minimum of a CDL B with air breaks. It would be more ideal to get a CDL A. If you don't mind semi truck, there are companies out there that will help you get training but charge you over time for the schooling.

Straight Truck with a sleeper. They range from $225,000-$300,000

I drive a 1 ton cargo van that I own for Custom Critical. For that size unit I always was required the hazmat endorsement. I'm glad to have because those loads pay more. I only log when I'm placarded.

You keep referencing the Fleet Owner, I thought that y'all leased your own truck? How does that work?

Some call this a lease contract. Not a traditional lease like a new car. We are independent contractors that get 40% of what the truck grosses. Some loads we can negotiate prices.

@@seanhamlet1463 everybody has a different standard for load count or money. Ask another team they will have a different view. We are satisfied with the board and the money.

I drive a cargo van for Custom Critical that I own. If your a team and own the van you can gross in a great economy $200K per year. For a single driver in a good economy over $100k per year gross. Just depends how hard you want to work. The expediting for a cargo van is slow now, so subtract at least 25-35%.
