Money (Live & Studio) [Pink Floyd Reaction] - 5.1 Surround - PULSE 1994 - The Dark Side of the Moon

Money is one of Pink Floyd's biggest songs, and to celebrate, we include two 5.1 surround versions for our reaction. That's the studio version from The Dark Side of the Moon album AND our first time hearing (and watching) the live version from the 1994 PULSE concert at Earls Court. But wait, there's more! We also throw in a few cover version samples from Frank Bennett, Exilio, and Of Mice & Men.
This is Dev's first time listening to this album all the way through. Mike hasn't heard it in a LONG time. We are re-experiencing classic rock music, an album at a time, with fresh perspectives and active ears, so that Dev can learn and appreciate this music more, and so that Mike can relive his childhood.

My older brother had lined the basement walls with these Dark Side of the Moon posters, while my sister displayed her Beatles posters. Both moved into disco in the late 70s, while I stuck with Pink Floyd, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Yes and others. At the end of the 1970s, I worked at the Montreal Forum, which was the equivalent of Madison Square Garden in New York, and I was able to see several dozen rock concerts there for free. The best job of my life.

🤗 Flashing back to Delicate Sound of Thunder Tour. 🤩First time seeing the girls "Woo Woo" thru the song Money! 😍 By the end when they do the breakdown and just go for it had the entire NJ Meadowlands "Woo-ing" with them! When the Pulse Tour came to America 🤣with their 3 day/truck set up, they🤯had different singers on tour. You can't hear it in videos but anyone at these shows can tell you 🤭the "Woo's" never stopped! 🥰 Pink Floyd shows were the bomb! Them, Rush, Queen, Bowie and others caused many babies to be conceived. 😒Working a show doesn't leave a lot time for much of that tho! 🤭😁🐰

I went to the Pink Floyd exhibition “Their Mortal Remains” in London and it was a Floyd fans dream. Amongst the various guitars, sheets of lyrics, photos of the band from the early 60s there was in one cabinet the various coins which had been strung together that Roger used for the opening sound effects on “Money” 😂

Yes his name is Dick Perry and he's the original sax player for Dark Side of the Moon and on songs on the next album "Wish You Were Here"! Shine On You Crazy Diamond".was the main song with Mr Perry on sax!

Pink Floyd concerts are legendary starting with Live in Pompeii, filed in 1972 and released in 1973..... Echoes from the Meddle album is the most popular star here, but the whole concert to the vacant and empty Roman Amphitheatre in Pompeii is brilliant. Then there is the 1994 Pulse concert tour....... if you haven’t seen it, then buy the DVD and get blown away.

Seventies flashback! I can't remember exactly which ones, but there were two posters inside the jacket of Dark Side when I bought it in '73. They went up on my bedroom wall next to my Page & Plant poster from the '73 MSG show, Jimmy in his dragon outfit. Also had my house on the hill blacklight poster near the blacklight and my 1973 Pantera poster too. Funny thing most FM stations played the album version, "bullshit" and all for a while. I guess the FCC started cracking down and the "clean" version hit the radio.

They have those posters up on the background screen for this whole video. The two pictures on top were the posters, and the pictures underneath them are the stickers. I know, because they came in my album in 1982

Excellent reaction video. Just one small point, which is the song is in 7/8 time, not 7/4. And for reference I point to Roger Waters' own words in the following documentary made by the band, at time 10:17 to 13:40: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oLtyobZmrJmYeYE.html (PINK FLOYD - The Dark Side Of The Moon 2003 Documentary HD) Yes, they used echo effects a lot. Very specifically timed ones for many of their songs, in studio and live. 😁 For the record PF had tons of "Radio Hits". Thought of at least 10 the minute you said it! 🤔 Also it may help to just read the Wikipedia. 😒 It can be hard to follow you sometimes since most of us grew up with this music and/or have read the Wikipedia or watched/reacted to the PF Documentaries with them talking about the song. 🤗 Just a thought! 🥰 Love the variety you bring by reviewing other Artist performing the songs! That's cool, but was thrown by the 7/8th thing you kept speaking about. ☺🐰
