You really need to check out the live Pulse concert version of 'Money'. It's really good. I've seen dozens of people react to it, it's never been blocked. Oh and speaking of Blues, Pink Floyd is named after two Southern black blues artists from the 20s and 30s, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. So yes, the connection and influences are real.

Dark Side of the Moon is among the album classics from the 70s. Geez, almost 50 years old. So listened to I still know the words to every song. Good reaction, Emily. I’m so glad you love them too.

I stumbled onto you reacting to Pink Floyd, and see you going down the rabbit hole. As another poster said, comfortably numb live at pulse is a must see, especially if you’re fanning over David Gilmour. No one can touch him. And as much as I love your reactions, take yourself on a journey. Turn out the lights, put on the whole Darkside of the moon album and go on the journey. Get yourself some lyrics as well. The poetry in their songs is another bar that is so high most others can’t reach it.

This is such a landmark album it's preserved in the Library of Congress for it's historical, cultural and it's creative significance. It's been on the top album chart for over 25 years. It was one of the top 200 albums of 2002 almost 30 years after it was released, over 400,000 copies were sold last year. It has sold enough copies for 1 in 5 people to have a copy, I have 5,the original vinyl and the Pink vinyl, the picture disc, the CD re-release and the remastered version from the Shine on box set. A portion of the profits from the sales went to help finance Monty Python's The Holy Grail.

So many great Pink Floyd songs I could recommend - but if I have to pick one, I'll go with Another brick in the wall Part 2. Also, I know you've already reacted to Comfortably numb, but you really should also check out the live version from the Pulse album - the guitar solo at the end is incredible!

Pink Floyd definitely make music together. Progressive rock, maybe, but blues, for sure! Keep your hands off my stash though was meant ironically. The band and the individuals were making all this money but they could still see all the corporate bullshit and how people talk out of both sides of their mouth. They would say nice things but really they were always greedy and selfish and so they were calling people out on that.
