Great episodes 9/10, all good.. i suggest u expend on Open Market Operations in the Bond Market that the bank and BNM used. it will explain how BNM controls the OPR. here how it work:- the banks and BNM make use of Open Market Operations via FAST BNM. If BNM wants to increase its OPR, BNM will announce in Open Market Ops (via FAST BNM) to issue Bank Negara Malaysia Notes/Bills (By LAW - Central Bank Act of Malaysia 2009 - BNMB/BNMN can only be issue not more than total foreign reserves asset), the banks will buys them, reduces bank excess reserved thus reducing M1/M2 in circulation and increase the Average Overnight Interbank Rate (AOIR is the actual interest rate, OPR is just policy target set not actual rate - AOIR allows to move within an interest rate corridor of +-25 basis point around the OPR set by BNM). When BNM issue bonds (BNMN/BNMB) and the banks buys them, it is called Quantitative Tightening, literally deleting money out of circulation, delete money using a keyboard out of existence. When BNM wants to lowers OPR rate (to lowers the AOIR towards the target rate). BNM will announce in FAST BNN to buy certain amount of bonds either MGS/MTB (Governemnt) or BNMB/BNMN (BNM) from banks, with newly created money digitally. this increases banks axcess reserved, M1/M2 increases, and lowers the AOIR. When BNM buys bonds from banks using newly created money digitally out of thin air its called quantitative easing (QE), literally creating money digitally out of thin air using a keyboard. The bank can also exchange bond with each other to manage the banks reserved and liquidity using a system called Repo and Reserved Repo. Fun fact and this is true, when BNM buys government bonds MGS/MTB (Quantitative Easing) the National Debt is hold by BNM - Its like "you print money and loan them to your self with interest", like what Japan been doing.

@@Bebesnowy Hi there! Haven't exercised any ESOS myself before (was offered, but I left my previous company before I could exercise it hehe). From what I know, the gains from ESOS is treated similar to that of a salary, and will be part of your taxable income since its not deductible. This is one KZfaq video I watched which I think was time well spent. Fully appreciate the effort and time you put into producing it. One suggestion is to remove the background music which IMHO is distracting and not necessary. Thank you Ziet!

Hello ziet. Since we r buying our ETFs from IBKR, Moomoo n rakuten all under nominees. If they go under our etfs r gone as they r so called the owners whereas we nominated them as our agencies n we don't own directly. Am i correct?

Correct, it applies for all investors outside of US. BUT, you will still be entitled your voting rights (negligible impact) and dividends!
