Just before the start of the French Open, UTS team is proud to present you the sixth edition of UTS’ iconic video channel « All on the table ». We taped this episode during the Madrid Open 2024 at the restaurant Mas de Santa with Gael « La Monf » Monfils, Ugo Humbert and his coach Jérémy Chardy.
La Monf, who’ll play UTS New York and Frankfurt, shared that the combination of his foot injury, his wife Elina Svitolina’s pregnancy, and an accident in the family nearly drove him to retire in 2022, just before Jérémy Chardy called him to play UTS Los Angeles in July 2023.
Monfils and Chardy talked about the level of Ugo Humbert, the number one French player, how fast he’s playing and about his game on clay. In six participation, he’s only won one match in Roland-Garros.
