To be honest, I was expecting exactly this outcome. Mongolians are among the best in the planet in this kind of sport. No way someone with zero wrestling background will have the slightest chance against a real mongolian wrestler. Look at what's going on in Japan's Sumo. Mongolians ain't no joke at this.

I can't consider Japanese Jujutsu true wrestling because traditional Japanese jujutsu uses strikes as a bridge and uses the tanto or an hand chop as a finish. I am A Mongolian and i think they did a great job. But they needed a bit longer training. As for the Cocky patriots out their, please don't be stupid. I would really like more foreign wrestlers to participate in our festivals and matches. Those wrestler that you guys keep calling kids are actually adults (maybe 18-21). Due to high altitude (average of 1500 meter from sea level) and extremely harsh condition (winter below -30* and summer higher than +40*) most of the energy we consume from food is used for body to survive that is why our physical forms develop slower than the other.(Same as any other peoples around the world who lives in the high altitude) Besides they wouldn't like it if you guys keep calling them kids. (Well no adult would like being called a kid) So please don't mock them and the western competitors.

Munkhsaruul Batsaikhan Lol I’m sorry but it’s pretty clear from the video that they were rather disrespectful of the local culture throughout the entire video. Also they seemed salty when they lost, trying to justify whatever happened to save face. It’s pretty funny to have a person of colour (an African American in this case) trying to put down another person of colour (East Asians) and maybe he thinks its ok to imply that East Asians are weak or tiny or small sized whatever just because African Americans have had their fair share of ethnic discrimination in USA society. But no, such blatant, racially charged remarks are outright disrespectful. He just sounded cocky throughout the whole video

Another reason might be that they are all professional athletes so they are, in theory, some of the most competitive people in the western world and take winning sports very seriously. EDIT: I'd also like to add that I've seen multiple shows like this where people come from other countries to wrestle Mongolians and they have ALL gotten super frustrated. There's a show called "Kung fu quest" from China and all of those guys ended up getting pretty pissed off too. There's something about going to Mongolia and training in wrestling for weeks or even months and not winning a SINGLE match (Even against 13 year olds) that just really gets to you... =p haha

These guys are an embarrassment. The first few all act tough, then get their asses kicked by guys half their size, some of them kids. Then they send the jacked-up black guy who obviously either juices or is very into lifting out against a 90-pound preteen, and then another child about half his size. Then when he wins, while you're supposed to flap your arms, he kind of hotdogs it. Then he finally faces an adult who is close to his size (who is still much lighter and several inches shorter than him), he gets housed within seconds. Then after he gets his ass kicked his friends hoist him up on their shoulders as if he won.

It doesnt matter if you are foreign. You just have to be a man. Sign up at the appropriate times. But in wrestling if you dont have a rank, you will be matched up with the best wrestlers in the division in the first few matches. Because, for example you can have two highest ranking men eliminated in the first few rounds, facing each other. The highest will be paired with the lowest. So only the best are left in the end. true I did MMA for almost 4 years now and trust me, if you're larger than someone but don't have even 1/4 of their grappling skill... You'll lose a grapple with them 99% of the time haha

Judging from this, Mongolian wrestling is one of the most difficult traditional pastimes in this show to be able to master quickly (along with Tarahumara racing). These guys did about as badly as you would expect in a real sport given that they only had a few days to prepare.

there is no weight class and arrangements in Mongolian Wrestling. 300 pound man can match up against 100 pound man. And there is thing called "Promise", basically the high rank wrestlers can choose whoever they want to wrestle with. So I dont think they purposely set it up like that lol
