😂 My dad is a teacher and this happened once. We had a system called RTL at my secondary (ready to learn) where a kid would go there if they were being disruptive or misbehaving. My dad tried to send a year 10 to RTL but they refused to leave, so he moved his entire lesson to another classroom and left the kid in the other classroom. Edit: Wow, thanks for all the likes!! :)

I thought this was the Speech and Language Therapist coming and I was so confused why she was in hi-vis.

My school called the teacher doing this the “on call” teacher. If a kid was misbehaving in class, the teacher in the room would always send us quiet, nerdy types to get the on call teacher…so much power!

This happened to me today. The student refused to leave the classroom so my history teacher said for all us to get out while we wait for on call. He explained some of the lesson while we were sitting down and people walking around us confused. The student left before another teacher could come. It was hilarious.

in my old school the teachers HAD to get physical. it was an alternative school, a lot of people who don't give af so they had a whole crisis team to keep everyone safe, and they used certain body holds and we had a few padded rooms they put us in.

I had a pupil added to my special needs class because she was disrupting her usual class. I had sympathy for her and gave her more appropriate independent task. In protest at being there, she sat down and began loudly repeating everything I said. The rest of the class started losing it. I called for someone to remove her, so in the meantime asked her to wait just outside open door, where I could see her, but rest of class couldn't. It meant we could carry on with lesson. Incompetent HT was passing few minutes later and told me off in front of class, returning her to her seat, despite my explanation.

Mine were called SMT and it was formed of the deputy head and some of his minions

In my school half the time the SLT wouldn’t come to the classroom until like 2 minutes to the end of the lesson

so i got sent ot of class because i looked at my friend talking and the teacher thought i was talking to him- *laughing mode activated*

For mine it's different teachers 'On Call'

This literally happened today in my English class lmao 😂 this boys phone started ringing half way though class so he pulled it out and answered it and just went “hello, what do you want I’m sitting in the middle of English right now” the teacher started yelling at him trying to take his phone off him but he said no and just continued his conversation 💀 then the teacher called for SLT and they came and was tryna get him to leave but he wouldn’t so the class was told we had to standup and leave the classroom so the SLT member could talk to the student- in the end he told the teachers to f*** off and then stormed out while still on the phone 👏🏼 (also this child has special needs and learning disabilities and the teachers were dealing with the situation very poorly by using physical force and shouting rather than trying to calm him down a speak to him if a way he understands)

I remember having a guy like this in my class he broke a whiteboard on my bffs head and broke my fav lunchbox😂

Someone in my class wouldn't behave and was messing about so the teacher emailed SLT and they came to get him. He wouldn't leave so SLT told us to go out the classroom and go find an empty classroom to carry on the lesson, luckily the classroom next to us was empty so we were there for 10-15 minutes

At my school it’s called EDR (no idea what it stands for) but they send the head of discipline

Glad my student leadership team isn't like that. It has been the same people since year 7 but they still have to do their speeches in front of the year group every year and one of them is just super funny and we just look forward to hearing his speech and we started clapping before he even said anything.

I am pretty old now, but I can tell you when I was at school, we were scared of the teachers, and some of them would strut around the classroom with a piece of plank and whack random people. Some guys would still act up, they would get sent to the headmaster who would first shout at you then literally grab the back of your neck, push you down over their desk face first while they grabbed the bamboo cane off the bookshelf with their other hand, and then beat you on the backside, really hard, how many times depending on how bad you were, like coming late for school was 'only' two. it was such a toxic, violent environment yet everyone said it was such a good school. I think all those teachers (some were ok) are dead from old age now, but if I ever met one of them face to face in the street, I would not hold back.
