I'd honestly pick an older home over new construction. Construction these days isn't quality or built thoughtfully (our double sink ensuite has ONE outlet) and a lot of the finishes will be dated quickly. With older construction you know what the quality is and will be. I also feel way less guilt of adding materials to the landfill to update. If I get ugly cabinets or counters that are brand new, I can't with good conscious toss them.

THere is a solution, don't buy finished. I couldn't imagine buying a condo and not designing everything myself. No one does that here in Europe, rare cases

No, a view is not important to me. I rather have a bigger house and bigger lot. I have a 2400 square feet house with .50 acre lot. They only thing I like about a condo is you don't have to worry about the outside like working on your yard. Do you think the market will pick up in the summer where there might be bidding wars again?

If interest rates lower even more, I think so. Probably nothing crazy competitive near downtown though. In general properties are going around list price but very quickly. Condo buyers are used to dragging their feet, but now need to be okay with making decision quickly so they do not lose out on a property. This all comes with the proper preperation and seeing enough homes!

I bought a house in 2021 and it took 14 offers to get accepted for an offer. Was the market that hot that buyers took that many offers to get accepted for a house? Or was it the real estate agent didn't write up a good offer to the listing agent?

What's up with the pixels? It's either your footage or your editing software. Or it could your SD Card. If you copy the original file to your computer and play it back and it has pixels it might be in the camera or SD Card.

Unfortunately in Seattle we don't have homes at that price point. The cheapest you could find is a studio condo in the 300's.

Monica, I would have to be paid in $US to afford those condos. You can't beat the view though. If I was younger and well enough, I would definitely look at a condo but alas I'm neither. How's your dog with her house training? 🪃🦘🤔
