It might be I would have found the best channel for learning English but I'm totally sure you must the teacher that fits better to my level and I can't be mistaken. Speaking about Paulo Cohelo, it comes to my memory "The Alchemist" a short and charming novel difficult to be forgotten.

HI Ricardo, thank you so much for participating! and thank you for your words, I feel honored! However, you can even say it in a more correct way: " *I might have found* the best channel ..." and "You must *be* the teacher that...". Thank you again! About The Alchemist, that reminds me, I have had that book at home for months and never got the chance to read it... It might be time for me to do so. Thank you again!

Eres una profesora extraordinaria por lo bien que explicas, por los ejemplos que pones y por la sintaxis que utilizas en el desarrollo de tus explicaciones, clara, sencilla y precisa pero a la vez rica y expresiva. No he visto ningún canal de profesores nativos tan bueno como el tuyo (Anglo-link, Crown Academy of English, Oxford English Now, Lets Learn English, etc.).

Amazing video! Can you explain to me which is the difference between Maybe vs May be, please? Thanks, Monica. (Or link with information)
3 жыл бұрын
Hi David! Of course! It’s confusing, right? Basically they are different types of word. Maybe is an adverb and may be is the modal verb with the verb to be. I will leave you a link where this is explained with examples: www.google.com/amp/s/learningenglish.voanews.com/amp/maybe-and-may-be-are-driving-me-crazy-/4807820.html

First picture: He can't have been happy because he looks like frustrated. Second picture: He must have been very grateful from them.
3 жыл бұрын
Hi María! Good, thank you for your examples! The modal of deduction of the first example is correct, however, better to say "he looks frustrated" and not "looks like frustrated". the reason why we say this is because "look like" is followed by a noun and not an adjective. Example: He looks like an actor, or She looks like my sister. If you use and adjective, then you should use "look": He looks frustrated, she looks happy. About the second one, better to say "They must have been very grateful for the man's gift". Thanks a lot!

HI there Ricardo, nice to see you around here! Ok, example one is perfect, well done! Example two, better to say "He must be out of the battle field, he might be remembering his sons". IN English the verb "remember" doesn't need preposition: I remember that day, He remember that song, They remember their childhood. Take care!

But I thought that we used "lost" when someone lost a thing, and "miss" when it''s for a person (a missing person and a lost wallet). Am I wrong?
Жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, that’s totally right, but in order to say “Estoy perdido”, we need to say “ I am lost”. We can also say that someone is missing with the sense of “estar desaparecido”. Basically if you just lost your way around we would say “she is lost”, but if someone cannot find somebody because that person might have been kidnapped for example, we would say “she is missing”. Thanks!
