Phra Dan (Bhante Dhammarakkhita, Bhikkhu) is a Theravada Buddhist Monk who lived in India from 2020, Thailand and now Sri Lanka. Born in Sussex, England in 1967. Educated by French Catholic Monks. A successful businessman in Estate Agency and Financial Services during the 1980's and 90's. Married, now divorced with 3 adult sons. 2000 marked change and travel including South Africa returning to the UK in 2003 to continue different work and business activities until 2012. Gradually materialistic values turned to renunciation, simplicity and meditation, living nomadically in an old Ford Transit van full time for 3 years. Van life and meditation led to Buddhism and a Thai Forest Tradition, Theravada Buddhist Monastery in the UK. During 2015 travelling the Buddhist Holy Sites of India, deep faith reinforced desire for Ordination. In 2020 after 5 years of intensive meditation practice between Thai Forest Monasteries in Thailand and England he was Ordained in India where he lived for 3 years until returning to Thailand in 2023 and now Sri Lanka.

Thank you.Bhante. From what Ive read about Jesus, I believe he was an enlightened man. It is thought by many biblical scholars that the church added details of Jesus being the son of God in later manuscripts. The reason is until the fourth century no manuscripts were found to contain any mention of Jesus being a God. This was done of course to strengthen ties with allies. One God United we fight. However many times in the bible Jesus is clearly seen as human. Anger in the temple, he tried to heal a blind women but could not and had to retreat to the forest with her for three days because he was too distracted in the village. He grieved for his friend Lazarus. Unfortunately nothing was written about Jesus until about 200 years after his death.I do believe Jesus did offer much help to the world. It may be one of the worst things mankind has done to itself be altering the truth. Plus it does not take a genius to know if your running around causing trouble for the Romans they are going to do something about it. The Romans leveled Jerusalem around 70 AD so there was tension. Plus after sermon on the mount crowds dwindled. He was stuck going from village to village, I would imagine begging and looking for students. Even at his crucifiction there is no mention of his family being there( I think one brother was mentioned). After they stabbed him with a spear, they then ran nails through his hands and feet and hoisted to hang by his tendons. But the Christ did one thing that will forever cement the fact of his teaching. He turned to the other 2 people being tortured next to him and said neither do I condemn thee. So I do find some crossover if I use the tools that Im capable of.

Biku, what are your thoughts on drug induced "awakening"? This happened unintentionally, due to steroid psychosis, from a cascade of prescription interactions. I saw the truth, and it's what led me to the path.
