Just a theory that I came up with, but could Hashirama be a monkey Sage mode user? I mean Hashirama's face marks really resemble the the fur on the face of Monkey King Enma. Furthermore, I have another theory of how he might have encountered the Monkey's to learn Sage mode. Since Hashirama has Wood Release, he might have tested it out, in the regions of the Monkey Kingdom that would later become the Land of Fire. By casting the forest, he might have disturbed the monkey's who taught him their Sage Mode, possibly. IDK its just my theory!😅

yes. aside from that, having konohamaru become the master of the new gen sannin is like a paralel to the generation of hiruzen as the sensei to the legendry sanin i agree that konohamaru wouldve been the perfect sensei of thi generation who would trump all ninja tech with old school shinobi tactics and jutsu. this is one of the reasons i hate boruto franchise. why they wasted so much character development of konohamaru.

They should be in the spotlight now that Uchihas are basically gone, even if Naruto changed Hiashi, and they would also be a good contrast to the technological advancement of the ninja world. Neji should've never died as well, but that's a whole another story. And I won't even mention Rock Lee and what they did to him in Boruto. The point is, the creators of Boruto should've built more upon what they already had in lore and do justice to characters with actual potential, instead of pulling stuff out of their ass and creating new characters that are as bland and boring as they can get. I will die on the ship that maybe children of Naruto and Sasuke should've been shelved for some time and have Konohamaru and/or Mirai Sarutobi be the MCs.

He can’t. The reason why orochiamaru made that curse mark was bc he switched into a body that did not have the ability to have sage mode and thus was cursed. He then created the curse mark with the purpose of getting a low sage mode for these bodies. So in order to be able to have a curse mark you need to have the body that can not wield sage mode

Basically if you have sage mode the curse mark would intake too much sage energy and you die hence why it didn’t work all the time. Sasuke did not have the ability to have sage mode so the curse mark worker

Sasuke carries those genetic markers and has control over it. Sasuke and the Sound Ninja 5 were the very first ones to utilize *sage* mode in the series. Orochimarus purple markings around his eyes is a result of his incomplete white snake dragon sage mode. A lot of prerequisites need to be first met for a ninja to even begin to think about undergoing the rigorous Sage training. A lot of ninja simply don't meet these requirements whether they like it or not. Orochimaru is a good example of failing even though he is strong, has a lot of chakra and is intelligent. You need to have an insane amount of natural chakra of your own and a very strong body before you begin absorbing nature energy (very few people meet this). Your chakra control needs be insanely accurate as one mistake could turn you into stone, Jiraiya couldn't control his nature energy that well so his Sage Mode made him more toad-like. You need to first find a way in to the training ground. You need to be perfectly still to acquire nature energy, so the moment you move to fight you can't replenish your Sage Mode, which is why Minato never used his Sage Mode when he was alive, he moves a lot so Sage Mode slows him down and drastically decreases efficiency. To bypass this stillness aspect, Naruto used shadow clones, Kabuto used Jugo's cells and Hashirama piloted his golems while standing still gathering chakra. Idk how Mitsuki gets instant Sage Mode even though he isn't a Jinchuriki, maybe because Orochimaru built him to bypass the wait.

Thank wasn't sasuke's path ofc he seeked power from Orochimaru but he only wanted enough to beat Itachi. He never really had nobody to train he was a natural prodigy

He has a strong body, massive amounts of chakra (insert Sasuke Rinnegan chakra joke here), incredible chakra control and he is intelligent. Sasuke understands chakra. Sasuke is basically Madara and Madara was able to instantly grasp Hashirama's Sage Mode and maintain it the moment he absorbed Hashirama's chakra. Sasuke totally has it within him to learn Sage Mode, plus he is friends with snakes who could lead him to the snake cave or he can hit up his bestie Naruto and ask to meet the toads for training.

@@AzA609 the wait time was only in the earlier parts in naruto shippuden, later on though it was irrelevant because most characters who wanted to enter sage mode could do it essentially instantly, ex minato, so they basically seemed to of gotten rid of the wait time and also with mitsuki they seemed to of done the same thing because even though he was made to be a perfect snake sage mode user, it still would of meant he would have to gather energy like naruto did against pain But, he doesn’t so I’m assuming that they just wrote it off

Minato was able to bypass the Sage Mode wait time because Kurama was cool with him and Naruto, so Kurama collected the chakra for them. This is why both Naruto and Minato had cross shaped pupils, which were indicating Sage Mode and Kurama Chakra Mode. Tailed beasts can do that for their host and make the chakra gathering faster.

It's not impossible that Hashirama could be a slug sage. Many of his techniques are named after the very woodlands that katsuya herself lives in. It's possible that he has been there. That incredible chakra control that katsuya is known for seems like a great sage technique required to absorb the natural energy in a instant like Hashirama does.

Maybe there's both. Monkey sage hiruzen. Slug sage hashirama. Toad sage Naruto. Snake sage orochimaru (ish).

Hashirama used asura green sage charka to get a sage mode and why he was able to use wood style. After that hashirama used all of it up and died. Naruto is then born as asura soul reincarnated not charka. So that’s why naruto can not use it. Sasuke doesn’t have this ability bc indra got the eyes but he is shown to been affected too bc madara mixed asura and indra charka and in return sasuke left eye was stronger which was the eye madara also strengthen first and it is why sasuke is able to sense their charka earlier on

Especially knowing how diverse the techniques are from one another. Personally I think toad sage is absolutely a fantastic approach to it. Being able to react to attacks quickly and the frog kata. Taijutsu master's like Guy would be a absolute monster. Or even better, neji and Hinata would rock toad sage powers.

Agreed... the entire sci-fi and space thing going are stuffs I actually really don't like, and when we come to watch Boruto, it is because we want to learn more about this world. Like, if the Boruto's era was more focused on people just exploring and allowing us to learn more stuff on this world, rather than the alien thing, it would have been great. (and if you REALLY want to keep everything about the Otsusuki, maybe have another serie, more far apart in the future (when Naruto and Sasuke aren't alive anymore for example) where you can go ham on the cyberpunk ninja thing, showing us this world, with possible easter eggs and comments that make us realizes : "Oh, wait... this is the world our idiot blondie was in !! Shoot". Plus, like this, you wouldn't need to nerf everyone and I guess the chakra pool of most people would have gotten small enough overtime that it make sense to have the need for the sciency ninja tool.

Actually sage mode only comes from sage creatures , I don't see kakashi dogs bc there's a theory that kakashi dogs are trained by him , he then uses a summoning contract that was created , it mustn't be creature from another dimension, Madara was able to make a summoning contract with kurama despite kurama not being summoning creature , they could be the same for kakashi dogs

@@jorge9604 agreed sorry I forgot correct my earlier statement, true It didn't state that they were the only places that one could get sage mode , but it did state that they were the only known 3 sage locations or sage creatures meaning that any other summon u saw in the series besides frog, slug and snake aren't sage creatures and do not have a sage mode or come from places that could have a sage mode bc if those locations there I believe they would have also been designated a sage area , sage locations are not normal places they have even been noted to have a different atmosphere, there only 3 known sage places as stated even if jugo could control how much nature energy he draws , if he can't mix or it with his base chakra he isn't a sage , Madara and Obito when they both got access to senjutsu chakra and they could control just fine they were never stated or confirmed to be sage mode users , u still need the training, Kabuto who copied jugo kekkai genkai still needed his sage training to probably utilize it fully , if don't have the training instead of being a sage , the kekkai genkai just makes u an infinite chakra battery , yes now remember jugo was basically an infinite chakra battery for Sasuke and I used Madara as an example bc he is been hinted several times to be comparable or inferior to hashirama in talent , if it was so easy for Madara might not have been that hard for hashirama to achieve it , I didn't say or mean bc Madara mastered it immediately that anyone could just master it, I agree u could learn sage mode on your own but it's not advised bc it's very dangerous, if u draw in too much and u can't expel it u are dead , so it would be better achieved under a sage .

@@judeabeljangnap7241 Kiba's family's dogs aren't summons, they are bred and raised alongside each member of the family to purposely work with them in that way. Paku and the other dogs Kakashi summons are specific and unique to him. We don't see anyone else summon them.

@@ben0789 You mean like ninshu already is? Seems sage mode is the natural progression in the spiritual belief system in naruto. Also the theme of the series is that later generations surpass their predecessors. So we're probably going to see a lot more powerful characters. Also, again, it seems like its the only thing that works on otsutsuki. So we're left with an option. Either the characters rise up to meet their threat, or accept that they'll never have a fighting chance against the otsutsuki.

I hope so, I really want Konohamaru to learn it if it's a thing
