Hi, i like all your videos,i want to buy my first laser as a hobby to start.Base on your experience wich one do you recommend ATEZR L2 36W-Wizmaker L136W or Montport 40w?for glass and metal

Thank you! I haven't ran an ATEZR laser machine so I can't comment on the performance. I have worked with glass and some metal with a laser diode machine like the Wizmaker L1 36 watt. The Monport 40w Co2 laser I have engraved glass- it's very fast and does not required a masking agent on the glass; I haven't worked with metal engraving with the Monport 40, I plan to in the near future. What size of object will fit in this machine? I’m thinking of buying the monport 40w pro. Being inside a cabinet with a low profile roller what’s the maximum diameter an object could be that will fit under the laser head? Thanks!

Hi- I would recommend a max diameter of about 2.75 inches (127mm). I used a pint glass at diameter of 3.25 inches and it was slightly out of focus but still worked. I some some people choose to cut the bottom of the cabinet out as another option.

@@thelaserchannel1 I wondered about cutting the bottom. What would be a good way of doing that without shaking everything out of alignment? Or is it pretty difficult to disturb the alignment?

@@richcuatt8652 There's a tool called a nibbler- it cuts out little squares and with enough "nibbles" the cut out can be completed. Leaving all to components in the machine I would use the hand nibbler rather than a power nibbler.
