A little insight into the iconic Monsta X sound (anyone can tell you that MX have a SOUND) and their impact on KPOP, from Wikipedia: *Since debut, Monsta X has been known for their aggressive style, combining elements of hip hop, EDM and pop. This aggressive style with "tracks centred around loud, clattering, electronic instrumentals, vicious rap verses and striking vocals" has been influential across the fourth generation of K-pop.* MX have hands down one of the best raplines in KPOP, as well as vocalists (Kihyun easily top 5 vocalist in the industry). They struggled a lot at the beginning of their career due to their "loud" sound, and appealed more to international fans. They are FINALLY getting recognition in South Korea, after popularizing the "noisy" music that groups like ATEEZ and SKZ got inspired to do! Joohoney (red haired rapper) produced & wrote Rush Hour! Actually many members had a heavy hand producing their last 3-4 albums, and the rapline has produced and written since debut! Also, Wonho left in 2019 due to *false* accusations. They were severe enough that he left in order to protect the members 🥺 he was fully cleared a few months later and returned to debut solo under a sublabel of the same company! Many MX fans are still fans of Wonho and consider him always a part of MX! Also in Rush Hour, Shownu (the eldest & leader) isn't there because he's enlisted in the military 💔 it definitely is weird seeing them as 5, but they still incorporated him in the choreo! The "Eat This" move comes from a famous Shownu meme 😂

Monsta X started with a noise music track and a mellow album and they ALWAYS stayed true to it. Like Trespass is their debut song and well it was something new back then in kpop. The Trespass album has a few member produced tracks and a few harder hitting tracks (maybe harder than the title). Rush Hour is exactly the same thing and I love it so much that they stayed true to their style after all this time. Rush Hour is like Trespass with a modern MX touch. Also I love how the members get more creative freedom after years. How Jooheon is now allowed to produce title tracks (it’s his second one after Gambler) and how all members give their opinion about lyrics and choreography and some sound effects, it’s so nice to see how they actually make their own now because they know their style best. They also have songs that are completely different but that’s what they once said in an interview in the US. They see the X in their name as some sort of unidentifiable existence and say that the X means they don’t Limit themselves regarding anything, they’re willing to try out any genre but they’re still maintaining their signature style. Also all members have very distinctive voices which just makes it even more easy to pick out their songs from any Playlist of kpop songs. So they also have an English album (the first in kpop in a decade) and the second will be released just 21 days after Rush Hour was released. On December 10th. And they have a documentation with the same title as the album (The Dreaming) coming to cinemas worldwide! Please react to them again!!

So glad to see you! Really glad you've discovered MonstaX. Joohoney and I.M are the two rappers. They've both been through some sh*t, as you felt from I.M. To sum up, MontaX did not willingly lose Wonho. It was not a pleasant time and when they still were seen in public with him, they got some backlash but that didn't stop them from not giving up on their brother. Sorry, stopping. Then Joohoney had to take a break for healing his psyche and came out with a solo album, fittingly called Psyche with one of the best rap songs about depression and mental health struggles I've ever heard, Smoky. I.M, the maknae who was hated by the group at first and struggling with being back in Korea after growing up in Boston, did have a rough time and he's also one of the saltiest most savage idols in KPop. If you know anyone from Boston, then you know how tough those guys have to be and how they can cut you to shreds with their words if they're smart AND from Boston! LOL His solo album this year was amazing as well! I think all five songs charted on Billboard but the song God Damn is a masterpiece! Shownu is in the military but not gone from the group and that should kinda catch you up. I would definitely recommend seeing them live! There are not that many groups in KPop that are BETTER live than they are in a studio, but MonstaX is one of them. (Like BigBang, Epik High, A.C.E, NCT127, iKON...stopping now) I HIGHLY recommend you see them when the tour in January and February rolls through the US. Even the nosebleed seats are a great time at a Monsta X show and MonBebe's are the most welcoming fans that also know how to party! Can't wait for the next reactions! Again so glad to see you!

Joohoney is one of the best rapper in kpop no doubt along with GDragon, RM and Chanbin. I'm a stay but if I had to choose to watch just one kpop concert in my entire life I'd go for Monsta X, their stage is insane.

They're five right now, because shownu is in the military (you liked his singing and dancing in hero and fantasia), also wonho had this dumb scandal(which turned out to be total bs). yaay i'm so happy you discovered monsta x cause like... yes. if i may pile on some recommendations... for either reactions or just personal enjoyment: all in (one of them early queer anthems), fighter, beautiful (these 3 make up a trilogy), dramarama (their first win on a music show), alligator (which is basically the sequel to shoot out and for which i recommend both the mv and the mcountdown live stage), jealousy (esp the dance practice), love killa, gambler (first title track produced by a member - jooheon), find you (the pair mv to "follow" and one of the last times we got to see them as a 7 member group), livin' it up (japanese release). live performance-wise, i recommend the golden disk awards 2019 stage, flow comeback stage (the first comeback after wonho left and in this song they talk about the difficulties they faced during that harsh period and their attitude towards their future as monsta x), hyungwon & im's how long concert stage, wonho & shownu's mirror stage, jooheon & im's sambakja stage, kihyun minhyuk and hyungwon's by myself stage, honestly any concert live videos you can find of... most of their songs, but especially fallin', if i may be biased for a second. oh and the iconic video of kihyun singing the highest notes in "lost in a dream" during a comeback vlive. they also have outstanding b-sides and honestly.... i'll just recommend my favorite albums... take 1: are you there, follow: find you, fatal love. otherwise... they also have a full english album that both the members and wonho contributed to production-wise and many mvs to said songs. and another full english album on its way to release. and a movie with the same name (the dreaming) there is a time travelling narrative going on in there somewhere too... (most visible in dramarama and find you) watching monsta x-ray (their own variety show that ended) is a good way to get to know the members better and really just to brighten your day :D sorry about the novel asdfjfjhjk loved your reaction. it's always nice to see people get excited over stuff you're excited about yourself :))

Monsta X has an English album “all about love” which came out on 2/14/20 Their second English album “The Dreaming” which is coming out on 12/10/21 If you do check out some more Monsta X mv’s: Alligator, trespass (debut mv), jealousy and Love Killa. In Love Killa, Monsta x the members did do movie references: Joohoney is The joker from the dark knight, Minhyuk is Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, Shownu is Agent Smith from The Matrix, Kihyun is Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the lambs, Hyungwon is Tyler durden from Fight Club, and I.M is from the movie the driver.

Hahaha this is so good! Hero was the first song of Monsta X I heard. I found Wonho first thru Open Mind, and he was the first person capable of getting me to listen to Kpop at all. When I found out he was in Monsta X Previously I found Hero first. You can imagine how HYPED this song made me, and now... Well here I am, a hard MX stan lol.

Talking about the change-ups in the songs, especially Shoot Out and Rush Hour, got me wanting to see him react to X-Phenomenon Love how you compliment each member! Wonho for obvious reasons, Shownu's visual and dancing, Jooheon and I.M rapping, Hyungwon visuals and vocals, Kihyun vocals, and Minhyuk vocals! He is a vocal king and slays with the pink hair. As a Minhyuk bias it's really nice to hear someone say that about him especially since he isn't the main vocal 💙

Honestly most Monbebes still say that Monsta X is 7 members but they promote as 6 now. Shownu is currently in the military so that's why they're 5 in Rush Hour. They also have a storyline that seems to even connect to Wonho's solo work which is amazing.

They are known for their professionalism and their loyalty to their fanbase. Johooney is the main rapper. He writes and produces some of their MV’s such as “Rush Hour” and “Gambler”. Definitely watch “Jealousy” and “Gambler”. The “pretty” one with the blond hair in “Shoot Out” is Hyungwon and he was a model before the band formed. A good show to invest time in is “No Mercy”. You will get to see how the band was formed. It’s pretty intense.

Just wanted to speak on a few things you mentioned. 1) As you know, Wonho is no longer in the group but most of Monbebe is OT7 and we forever consider him still part of the group. Wonho left the group due to false allegations to protect the group. (He left bc the company wasn't doing their part to protect him so he felt he had no other choice but to leave. 😭) But we are so happy that he is doing well as a soloist and we love him forever. (Wonho is my ult bias) 2) Shownu (the leader) is currently serving in the military so he wasn't in Rush Hour. 😥 3) Jooheon the "aggressive rapper" wrote Rush Hour and is a literal music genius and is honestly the ace of kpop. MONSTAX is that powerful, I used to like k-band only but only MONSTAX that makes me a fan of kpop (dance) boy group cause their main rappers, main vocalists and main dancer are certified top notch! Such a balance group. I love their dark and mature concept and the first song I listen from them was HERO. I kept listening to that song for a month.
