MONSTER BLUEFISH - Come to Mamma, I'm Waiting, You Big Brutish Blue Fish You!!! - Got the drip reel dripping salty wet today in the surf fishing for a few monster bluefish. Tossed a handful more and a few self release which is always nice. Topwater fishing is plain exciting. Met a nice feller who asked me, "can we can fish here?" I replied with a mixed jubilant calm loud up down spirited tone all word per word, "hell yea you can, it's a State Park, and you can even fish next to me if you want." I smiled. I loved the reply, a flat yet kind smile all with a quick soft "thank you," and he walked away quickly.

True, except those fish might be elsewhere. Those schools of blues rove all over and all around every nook and cranny of the island. When they're here, every spot is a good spot.

Treble hooks are too dangerous for me. I replace them with barbless single hooks. Blues are rare for shore anglers in Connecticut.

Most certainly, most people correlate bluefish behavior with the big heavy bites we now only get in spring but there is much much more to their behavior, spawn and migration patterns then we think. Most is unknown and only guesswork even amongst science. The realm of the bluefish is all hypothesis.

I love how the second this video goes up, there’s 5x the amount of people at the spot the next day! And then you site your viewer demographic to be “old timers” and sportsman and whatever nonsense that are apparently people who know how to fish to justify blowing up a bite and a spot…. The second I hook into one single fish, all the idiots who came to the spot because of your video start crowding around me and the other locals and crossing lines with us.. Like, please give me your reasoning as to why you can’t just post the video a couple weeks later? You have no personal gain out of these videos other than your ego and you have a mob of idiots who follow you around from video to video… How many dozens of guys need to tell you these things? The whole lineup at these spots would have a lot more respect if you were more courteous.

He’s also clearly too naive and inexperienced to understand the impacts of blowing up a bite as well. It’s sad man. Complete blatant disregard to post another video showing the entire shoreline of this spot. Numerous local fishermen have repeatedly been asking kindly to just attempt to conceal the location in which this video was recorded. Now from firsthand experience I can say that for weeks now this spot is unfishable due to the amount of traffic and is slowly being trashed and taken advantage of, a major factor contributing to this is your videos showing off this spot to anyone who clicks on your video catching bluefish. There is no background checks for subscribing to your KZfaq channel so the belief that all your viewers are knowledgeable respectful fisherman can be disregarded.
